Walter fitz-Robert lord of D⟨aventry⟩ quit-claims to D⟨aventry⟩ , &c., his right in a wall behind their ‘vivaria’ in D⟨aventry⟩ . It extends from his ‘cultura’ behind his ‘vivaria’ to the house which a certain Bertram once held from the monks in the same vill in le Netherend. The monks may also enclose a certain road in D⟨aventry⟩ between their granges and their garden, extending from the high-road to their Hospital. In the North field ½ acre over Ryelondesmor, ½ acre over Fichelesthorn; from Michaelmas 17 E. III. for 8 years. Also 5 roods of arable lying under Cleypitteshul by the land of Jordan Philip . Indenture by which John Saloman of Drayton grants to Matilda wife of Robert Symond of D⟨aventry⟩ and Matilda their daughter, one acre 2 roods of arable land in the South field of Drayton, viz. one acre lying together at ‘le Crosweye’ over ’le Brodebottes’ by the said Matilda’s land, one rood under Stepenhul by the said Matilda’s land, one rood into Westegrovesithe by the lord of D⟨aventry⟩’s land, from Michaelmas 17 Ed. John Neel grants to D⟨aventry⟩ in free-alms 1½ acres of land in D⟨aventry⟩ , lying over Fischwerehul between the prior’s land and the Daventry-Norton road. In exchange they have given him a croft called Millewardis croft in D⟨aventry⟩ by the Walton road on the west. They also release to him their right in 5 strips at the head of D⟨aventry⟩ towards Drayton, by the high road to Leicester on the north. John Neel grants to D⟨aventry⟩ in free-alms ½ acre of land in D⟨aventry⟩ , lying over Suthbrok under Hauton hill between the prior’s land on the west and the land late of William Randolf on the east. In exchange John receives two roods of arable land under Ryehill between his own land on the west and that of Simon le Champiun on the east.
