Indenture quadripartite made between (1) Abraham Cowley of St Albans, Hertfordshire, gent., (2) Hugh Chamberlen of St Clement Danes, Middlesex, esq., (3) Thomas Bromfeild of New Inne, Middlesex, gent., and (4) Christopher Davenport of New Inne, Middlesex, gent, reciting a lease dated 25 October 30 Chas. II, 1678, made by Chamberlen as executor of Elizabeth Walden to Thomas Singleton of a messuage in North Faraham, Hampshire, and lands [details given], parcel of the manor of Roch Court, being an assignment of the residue of a term of 99 in the same property by (1) and (2) to (3) and (4).

Confirmation. Roche Court (Hampshire). 3 William and Mary. Aug. 10, 1691. Indenture tripartite made between (1) Dame Jane Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, widow; (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of the Inner Temple, London, baronet, son and heir apparent of Dame Jane, and (3) Barnard Gardiner, fellow of All Souls College, University of Oxford, gent., being a release by (1) to (2) of the manor of Northfareham otherwise Rochcourt, Hampshire, Sir Brocas Gardiner to pay Dame Jane £95 per annum for life from the issues of the manor, and to pay Barnard Gardiner £25 per annum for life, during the life of Dame Jane and Jane Thorner of St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, widow and grandmother of Barnard Gardiner, if they live so long (endorsed with two memoranda: 1. Agreement between the parties to contribute to costs at law incurred by Sir Brocas Gardiner regarding recovery of rent and maintenance of the manor; 2. Agreement dated 7 June 1693 made between Sir Brocas Gardiner and David Moris of Lambeth, Surrey, to whom Dame Jane was then married, that Sir Brocas Gardiner would pay all taxes assessed on the £95 payable to Dame Jane under the Act of Parliament for granting to their Majesties an Aide of 4s in the pound for one year for Carrying on a Vigorous War against France [granted 20 March 1693 or later] or any other Act hereafter, signed and sealed by David Moris and Jane Gardiner. .

Articles of agreement. Roche Court (Hampshire). 4 William and Mary. Feb. 22, 1692. Articles of agreement between Thomas Legh of Ridge, Cheshire, esq., and Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roach Court, Hampshire, baronet, reciting a deed of [27] January 1657, being a mortgage for 2000 years of lands in North Fareham, Hampshire, parcel of the manor of Roche Court, to Simon Bennett, with the residue of the term assigned to Francis Gregg deceased, the legal title now descended to Thomas Legh, the property now to be assigned to Sir Brocas Gardiner.

Indenture made between (1) Thomas Bromfeild of the Inner Temple, London, gent.,and Christopher Davenport of New Inn, Middlesex, esq., and (2) Hugh Chamberlen of St Clement Danes, Middlesex, esq.,reciting a deed of 16 December 1684, which itself recited a deed of 25 October 1678, concerning a messuage in North Faraham [Fareham], Hampshire, with lands [details given], parcel of the manor of Roch Court, with other deeds also recited, being an agreement for an assignment in trust by (1) to (2) of the property.

Indenture made between (1) Thomas Legh of Ridge Hall in Sutton, Cheshire, esq., and Susannah his wife, the only sister and heir of William Gregg late of Alkeston, Derbyshire, gent., and John Calvert of Beely, Derbyshire, gent., and (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, reciting articles of agreement date 22 February 1692, being a confirmation by (1) to (2) of possession of a coppice in the parish of Fareham, Hampshire, assigned to (2) by a bargain and sale dated 21 February 1693 by (1) to (2) (endorsed: Release Legh & ux[or] & Gardiner). .

Indenture made between (1) Thomas Legh of Ridge Hall in Sutton, Cheshire, esq., and Susannah his wife, the only sister and heir of William Gregg late of Alkeston, Derbyshire, gent., and John Calvert of Beely, Derbyshire, gent., and (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, being a bargain and sale by (1) to (2) of a coppice in the parish of Fareham, Hampshire (endorsed: 'Lease for a yeare Int[er] Legh & ux[or] & Gardiner 21 February 1692 [/3].

Indenture made between (1) Hugh Chamberlaine of St Clement Danes, Middlesex, doctor in Physick, and (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Rochcourt, Hampshire, baronet, reciting a deed of 6 December 1666 made between Francis Gregg and Elizabeth Walden, being a bargain and sale for 99 years of lands in North Fareham, Hampshire, parcel of the manor of Roche Court, Hampshire, from which a dispute arose between Hugh Chamberlaine and Sir Brocas Walden after the death of Elizabeth Walden, being an agreement that Sir Brocas Gardiner should have possession of the property (endorsed: Indenture of Covenante and Agreement between Sir Brocas Gardiner and Doctor Chamberlaine Martii 18o 1695 [/6], although the document is dated in the 8th regnal year of William III, perhaps in error for the 9th regnal year, 1697).

Indenture made between (1) Thomas Legh of Ridge Hall in Sutton, Cheshire, esq., and Susanna his wife, and Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, and (2) George Bellamy of Gosport, Hampshire, gent., being a bargain and sale with feoffment by (1) to (2) of a messuage in North Fareham, Hampshire, and lands [details given], parcel of the manor of North Fareham alias Roche Court, Hampshire.

Indenture made between (1) Hugh Chamberlen of St Clement Danes, Middlesex, doctor in Physick, Thomas Bromfeild of the Inner Temple, London, gent., and Christopher Davenport of New Inne, Middlesex, gent., and (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, and Robert Southam of London, gent., reciting several deeds including a bargain and sale for 85 years dated 25 October 1678 to Thomas Singleton of a messuage in North Fareham, and lands [details given], parcel of the manor of Roche Court, Hampshire, being an assignment of terms by Christopher Davenport by direction of the other parties in (1) and at the nomination of Sir Brocas Gardiner, to Robert Southam of the property (dated 20 June 1698 in the tenth regnal year of William III, which is perhaps in error for the eleventh year, 1699).

Indenture tripartite made between (1) Thomas Legh of Ridge, Cheshire, esq., and Susanna his wife, only daughter of Francis Gregg of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, gent., deceased, and sister and sole administratrix of William Gregg of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, only son of Francis Gregg; (2) Mary Gregg of St Andrew Holborn, Middlesex, widow, Thomas Gregg and Joseph Gregg of Clements Inn, Middlesex, gents., Benjamin Gregg of the Middle Temple, London, gent., and Francis Gregg of Clements Inn, Middlesex, gent, executors of the last will and testament of Thomas Gregg, citizen and Pewterer of London, gent., and (3) Thomas Harris of St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, gent., and Robert Southam of the Inner Temple, London, gent., reciting a deed dated 1 August 1664 an assignment of a term of years to various parties including Thomas Gregg, deceased, of the messuage known as Roch Court and lands, Hampshire, in trust for Francis Gregg, deceased, and being an assignment by (1) to (3) of the property (endorsed: 'Assignement from Legh & al[iis] to Harris & Southam. 5o July 1693').

Indenture made between (1) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, and (2) Francis Antram of Catisfeild in the parish of Fareham, Hampshire, yeoman, being a lease for 15 years by (1) to (2) of the manor house of Roche Court, and lands [details given] (endorsed: 'Antrams Lease 29 Decr 1698 15 years 1713 No. 6').

II, 1678, made by Chamberlen as executor of Elizabeth Walden to Thomas Singleton of a messuage in North Faraham, Hampshire, and lands [details given], parcel of the manor of Roch Court, being an assignment of the residue of a term of 99 in the same property by (1) and (2) to (3) and (4), and being an assignment by (1) to (2)of the property in trust.

Indenture made between (1) William Pettie of Sherborne St John, Hampshire, yeoman, and (2) Edmund Pettie, son and heir apparent of William Pettie, being a settlement on Edmund Pettie and his wife Mary, of messuages and lands in Sherborne St John, Hampshire (signed by Edmund Pettie).

Indenture made between (1) Willliam Pettie of East Shereborne alias Shereborne St John, Hampshire, dyer, and (2) George Fortescue of London, esq., being a bargain and sale from (1) to (2) of lands in Sherborne St John (signed and presumably sealed by William Petty [Pettie].

Lease. Sherborne St John (Hampshire). 4 Chas. I. June 30, 1628. Indenture made between (1) William Pettie of East Shereborne alias Shereborne St John, Hampshire, dyer, and (2) Henry Pettie of East Shereborne alias Shereborne St John, tanneer, son of William Pettie, being a lease by (1) to (2) of lands in Sherborne St John [details given] for 14 and 19 years respectively (signed and sealed by William Petty [Pettie]).

Indenture made between (1) George Fortescue of London, esq., and (2) Thomas Brocas of Beaurepaire, Hampshire, esq., being a bargain and sale by (1) to (2) of a messuage and appurtenances in Sherborne St John (signed by George Fortescue) (endorsed with a note of enrolment on the dorse of the Close Rolls).

Lease. Sherborne St John (Hampshire). 6 Jas. I. June 10, 1608. Indenture made between (1) Sir Pexall Brocas of Steventon, Hampshire, and (2) Raphe [Ralph] Gardyner [Gardiner] of Sherborne St John, Hampshire, yeoman, being a lease for 31 years (with conditions relating to the start of the term) by (1) to (2) of ten parts in twelve parts to be divided of the mansion house of the manor of Cranes with appurtenances, and also lands in the parish of Sherborne St John (signed and sealed by Raphe Gardyner).

Indenture made between (1) Thomas Brocas of Beaurepaire, Hampshire, esq., and (2) Nicholas Gardiner of Sherborne St John, Hampshire, yeoman, being a lease for 99 years by (1) to (2) of land in Sherborne St John, with the hedgerow of Alders on it, with its bushes and underwoods (signed and sealed by Nicholas Gardiner).

Indenture made between (1) John Widmore of Quidhampton in the parish of Overton, Hampshire, warriner, and (2) Ambrose Pearse of Kingsclere, Hampshire, tanner, being an assignment of a lease for 200 years by (1) to (2) of lands in Sherborne St John, Hampshire (signed by John Widmore); endorsed with an assignment dated 18 August 1692 by John Smith of Bradfield, Berkshire, (by right of his wife Katherine, executrix of Ambrose Pearse, deceased) of the lease to Sir William Glynne of Ainersden [Ambrosden], Oxfordshire, baronet, and Thomas Lister of St. Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, esq.
