Higham (Higham etc). 1396. Grant from Robert le Warner of Higham (Heigsham, in the parish of Gayselee), to Thomas of Heigsham, jun., Walter, perpetual vicar of Cavenham (Kauenham), John Calwe (or Calwaue) of Barrow (Barwe), and John Sparkforde, called Spore of Bertone, next Mildenhall (Mildenhale), chaplain, of 3 roods of arable land in the crofts of Heighsham, by the lands of the said Thomas, abutting to the north, on the land of John Lote, and to the south on the land of John Aleyn; which 3 roods lately belonged to Alice, daughter of John Fysshe. Dated at Higham (Heigsham) on Thursday, the feast of the Holy Innocents, 20 Ric. II [28 Dec. 1396]. Witnesses: John Pyckechese, Thomas Lote, Robert le Smythe of Higham (Heigsham), Walter 'Fana', John Brythwelle of Gazeley (Gayselee), and others. The seal is wanting.
