Needham Street (Needham-Street). 1317. Grant from Juliana, widow of Radulf 'ad caput ville' of Needham Street (Nedham) , to Walter Priour of the same, of 2.5 acres of arable land of which 2 acres lie in the crofts of Nedham in the west side, one at the upper end, lying between the land of Henry Pyle, and the fee of the Lady Cescilia Le Talemache, and abutting on a messuage once held by the said Radulf; which the half acre lies in Peinelnecroftis, on the east, between the land of Thomas Beylard of Kentford (Kenteford), bought from Walter le Marcer, and abutting on the messuage of John le Warner. Dated, at Needham Street (Nedham), Friday, the feast of St Botulf, abbot, 10 Ed. II [17 June, 1317] Witnesses: Walter le Mercer, Gilbert of Honedene, William Sperling, Richard le Warner, Walter Persoun, Robert Fabr', Robert de Appetone, and others.
