Needham Street (Needham-Street). 1385. Release from William Farewelle, parson of Great and Little Chesterford (Chesterforde [Essex]), Richard Smythe, parson of Suthrleye [Lincoln], William Parkere, parson of the church of Llanwenarth (Llanwaynarde [Monmouth]), and John Freberne of Fulbourn (Fulburne [Cambridge]), jun., to Thomas Persone of Nedham, and Margaret his wife, of all lands, tenements, etc. claimed by the said grantors in Needham Street (Nedham), Kentford (Kenteforde), and Higham (Heigham), which they had from Thomas of Heigham, and which once belonged to William [mutilation] Dated at Needham Street (Nedham) on Monday the feast of St Edmund, King, 9 Ric. II [20 Nov., 1385] Witnesses: Robert Warner, Geoffrey Chapman, Richard Ilgere, John Haumener, Geoffrey Mellere, and others. Endorsed: Carta facta Thome Baldoke. The seal is wanting. Mutilated.
