Sudbury. 1445. Feoffment. John Harlestow, esq., John Denston, esq., John Slopton, esq., Thomas West of Sudbury (Sudbery) and John Eyres of the same, have enfeoffed Roger Messager of Bury St Edmunds and John Messager of the same, goldsmiths a tenement in Crostrete, All Saints' parish, Sudbery, formerly Edmund Hicches'; boundaries: messuage of Robert Hyne on the south, tenement of Robert Purst on the north, pasture called Portmancroft, otherwise Kyngesmerssh and the highway; which tenement they held formerly together with Robert Cavendyssh, John Groom and John; to hold of chief lords of the fee in services due and accustomed Witnesses: Robert Deynes, John Bust, John Tille, John Hyne, William Jacob.
