Indenture dated 7 January, 35 Henry VIII (1544), witnesseth that Richard Freston of Mendham, lord of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wicham Skeyth), in consideration of the payment of £12, grants to Nicholas Godard of Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) three acres of land in Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) for 300 years, at 3d annual rent.

VIII (1543), by which Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., demises to Thomas Bedwall and Elizabeth his wife and their sons, Symond, John the Elder, and John the Younger, the site of the manor of Wykham called Wickham Skeith (Wykham Hall) and lands, &c. for 99 years, at an annual rent of £10.

Indenture dated 10 Decemb., 37 Hen. VIII (1545), by which Richard Freston of Mendham (Mendham in the co. of Suffolk), lord of Wickham Skeith (Wykhamskeyth), demises to John Brame of Stoke Ash (Stokeasshe) (The name is clearly Brame in the rental record), for £10 14s. 6d. in hand paid, one close called Grenecroft lying in Wickham Skeith (Wykhamskeyth), for 1000 years, at an annual rent of 1d.

Indenture dated 21 April, 14 Q. Eliz. (1572), by which Richard Freston of London, gent. demises to John Bedwall his lands, pastures, &c. in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wykham), called Holgateland, for 3 years, at an annual rent of 30s.

Rentell renued for a yeare due at St. Michaele, 1627,' for the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wickham Skeyth).

WOODBRIDGE. Hugh, son of Sewall de Wdebrigge, grants to William de Suwalde a piece of land and a house in Woodbridge (Wdebrigge), for 20s. (c. 1240.)

John Science of Great Yarmouth (Gernemuth) impledges to Roger, son of Richard Ingald of Wortham (Wrtham) , 7 acres of arable land in the fields of Wortham (Wrtham), to hold from the Friday next before the feast of the apostles SS. Simon and Jude, 23 Ed. I, to the Nativity following, for a loan of 40s.

⟨Wortham (?)⟩. Symon de Hotone and Eglentin his wife grant to Gilbert Manton of Wortham (Wrtham) for 6s. one piece of land computed at half an acre in the field of Litlemor, paying annually for the same 2d. (c. 1280-90.)

Giles de Wachesham, kt., confirms to William de Hereford, rector of half the church of Wortham, for the sum of two marks the homage of Richard, son of Hervy Ingold, with all his issue and chattels. (c. 1260.)

Henry de Fincham, chaplain, grants to Hugh, son of Robert Hare of Wortham (Wrtham) , for his homage and service, one messuage and all that belongs to it in Wortham (Wrtham), called Chelewalvestuft, paying yearly 12d. (c. 1280-90.)

William de Hereford, rector of half of the church of Wortham, grants to Richard, son of Hervy Ingold (whom sir Giles de Wachesham gave unto him with his issue), to be free with all that belongs to him, for which he shall pay one penny yearly at the altar, on the day of Nativ. B.V.M. for the maintenance of the light, and to the grantor and his heirs three roots of ginger. (c. 1260.)

Returns of the execution of a writ dated 3 July, 4 Hen. IV (1403), to the sheriff of Suffolk, that he shall make replevin to Philip Miller of Great Wratting (Great Wrottyng) of his cattle which Mirabella Geddyng and others took and detained.
