Grant from William, son and heir of William de Eboraco, kt., to Amand de Surdeval and Cecilia his wife, mother of the said William, his wife for dower, four bovates of land and three tofts in Esk with five serfs their chattels and belongings, together with the first gift of the moiety of the church of Brennesale in Craven, which Sir Richard de Knol had by gift of the said William's father in exchange for her dower in Craven, viz. in Coningstone, Hebbedenne, Brennesale, Heton, and in Thorp, saving certain serfs and lands to the said Amand and Cecilia, subject to an annual rent of 2s. 6d. to the said William, and a rent of 6s. to the lady Alicia la Chaumberlenk.

Grant from John, lord Darcy of Menell, to Sir John de Melton, kt., Thomas Clarell, esq., John de Moore, rector of Beghton, Thomas Mapirlay, Robert Plomley, Elias de Blyth, and John Daunay, all lands and tenements, rents, etc., which were William Mortoyn's, in the villages of Gatburton and Lee, or elsewhere within the county of Lincoln, and in Hyrst, in the county of York, and in the villages of Retford in le Cley and Rampton, in the county of Nottingham, together with the whole of the ferry (cum toto passagio) beyond the Trent, called Lytylburgh fery. Dated at Gatburton. Subjoined is the power of attorney to Nicholas Daunay and John Grayne to deliver seisin to the said parties of the lands, etc. enumerated in the preceding charter. III to Simon de Balderston for the foundation of a chantry in the church of Hymelesworth, endowed with a messuage, toft, 51 1/2 acres of land, 4 1/2 acres of meadow, 12 acres of wood, and 23s. annual rent in Hymelesworth, Hyndeley, Kynneslay, Thorp Audelyn, South Elmesale, and Osset. Fine. Barnby. Morrow of the Purification of the B.V.M., 9 Ed. I and 4 Dec. 24 [Ed. I?] (1295). . Fine made at York between Robert, the abbot of Roche, plaintiff, and William, son of Richard de Barneby, defendant, by which the said William permits the abbot to have common of pasture for all his cattle in Barneby, except goats, also his pigs to be quit of pannage in his woods there, also to have 6 cartloads of wood for ever, also to dig turf. A writ of K. Ed. I in pursuance of the same grant with regard to a suit with Abbot Stephen follows, dated at Westminster, 4 Dec. an. 24 (partially illegible).
