Indenture of agreement made between the abbot and convent of Neuhous, and William de Sibertoft, 'corrodarius' of the said abbot and convent, demising to the said William the manors of Akerholes and Wykehame, with the lands, meadows, and pastures pertaining to the same, excepting those meadows and pastures retained for the flocks of the abbot and convent and tenants' rents and the profits of the courts; to hold the same together with all horses, bulls, and cows, and other animals and things existing in the said manors, to the said William, from the feast of St. Michael, 39 Ed. III, until the end of five years, at an annual rent of 40s. and the share of corn for two or three shepherds, according to the custom of the country, and other conditions as to the repair of all the houses at Akerholes and Wykehame, etc.

Power of attorney from Gerard de Ufflete, kt, Gerard Sothill, John Kirkeby, and Thomas Spenser to Gilbert de Lincoln and Thomas Sandale to deliver seisin to Richard, son of Robert Haunsard, kt., and Joan his wife, of the manor of Blaktoft.

Petition. Swanscomb (Kent) (manor), Painswick (Gloucestershire) (manor), Goodrich Castle (Herefordshire) (manor). [1326-7] (1327). . Petition of Richard, son of Gilbert Talebot, and Elizabeth his wife ("sa compaigne") to the king and his council, complaining of the Hugh le Despensers (father and son) having seized the said Elizabeth and imprisoned her at Purebricke in Surrey and obtained by force a deed conveying the manor of Swannescompe; and having likewise forced her by threats before John de Bousser, one of the justices, to ensure to them the manor of Payneswyk in Glouc. and of Castle Godrich, and then before William de Clyf, a clerk in Chancery, are bound to them in £20,000, which bond was enrolled in Chancery. They pray therefore redress (French). Endorsed with notes of orders theron (largely illegible).

Writ. Goodrich Castle (Herefordshire), Goodrich Castle (Herefordshire) (manor). 8 April, 18th Ed. II (1325). . Writ from King Edward II to John de Bousser to go personally to Elizabeth Comyn because she is so infirm that she cannot without great danger attend at Westminster, and receive from her acknowledgement of the fine to be levied in the king's bench between herself and Hugh le Despenser, jun., concerning the castle and manor of Castel Goderich, etc. Dated at Beaulieu.

Writ from the king to the justices of the Bench, setting forth the grant by his letters patent to the abbot and convent of Neuhous of a licence in mortmain, to enable them to hold 8 messuages, 7 bovates, and the third part of one bovate of land in Kelingholme, given to them by William, son of Robert de Welton of Brothesby, parson of the church of Baynton. Dated at St. [John's, i.e. Perth].

Petition. Builth Castle (Breconshire), Builth (Breconshire) (manor). [temp. Hen. IV] (1413). . Petition of Walter de la Pole and Elizabeth his wife, great-granddaughter of Thomas de Bradestone, to the king [Hen. IV] that he would make [...] of a grant of 500 marks made to the said Thomas for sustaining the estate of banneret by the king's great-grandfather King Edward ; the said king having pledged his castle of Thlanveir and lordship of Buelt in South Wales, formerly held by Alice, Countess of Lincoln, for her life for this payment.

Demise. Nostell, Augustinian priory. Feast of St. Martin in the winter, 1374 (1374). . Indenture witnessing that the prior and convent of St. Oswald of Nostell demised to Robert Dany, vicar of Bustall [Birstal], and Robert Swepstak of Westerton, their manor of Bustall, called the rectory, with appurtenances for 20 years, at an annual rent of 53s. 4d. Dated at Folby.

Confirmation. Bolton, Augustinian priory. 15 Dec., 9 Ed. II (1315). . Confirmation by [Thomas earl of Lancaster of the charter of William, son of Gilbert de Rither, granting to the church of St. Mary Boultoun and the canons there one toft in the village of Rither in a place which is called Hill, and one plot of land, and 11 acres in the fields of Rither hill and Doggethorp. Dated at his castle of Pontefract [French, mutilated in the first line].

Fine. Goodrich Castle (Herefordshire), Goodrich Castle (Herefordshire) (manor). Morrow of the Ascension [17 May], 18 Ed. II (1325). . Fine made at Westminster on the morrow of the Ascension, 18 Ed. II, by which Elizabeth Comyn acknowledges the right of Hugh le Despenser jun., to the castle and manor of Castel Godrich, with appurtenances in the marches of Wales, for which the said Hugh gave 500 sterling.

Grant. Hatterboard (Yorkshire, North Riding). Sunday next after the feast of St. William, 1339 (1339). . Indenture (caled "indentate", but not indented) witnessing that Sir William Bruys, kt., grants to Sir Alexander de Bergh, kt., the whole of his land in the village and territory of Haterbergh, paying annually to the said William and his heirs 13s 4d. Dated at Haterbergh, near Scardeburgh.

Writ. Fordington (Dorset) (manor). 27 November, 9 Ric. II (1385). . Writ from King Richard II, to Richard Otery, his escheator of the county of Dorset, commanding him to take the fealty of Sir John Trevet, kt., for the third part of the manor of Fordyngton, on the death of Joan, late princess of Wales, mother of the king, who held the same in dower ; the said manor having been granted to Sir John Trevet by Edward, late prince of Wales, and confirmed by letters patent. Dated at Westminster.

Writ from king Edward III, to his treasurer and chamberlains, for certificates concerning the fines levied between Hugh le Despencer, junior, earl of Winchester, and Elizabeth Comyn, of the manor of Paynewyk, and the manor and castle of Chastiel Goderich, co. Gloucester. Dated at Westminster.

Inquisition. Ellerton, Cistercian priory. 16 June, 46 Ed. III (1372). . Inquisition taken at Gyseburne in Clifland before Roger Lascels, escheator, by virtue of the king's writ to inquire concerning the grant of five skeppas of salt, etc., in West Cotom by Alan Wilton, late lord of the manor of Wilton in Cliveland, about Easter 4 Hen [III] [1220] to the priory of Ellerton and still held by the priory on 22 Sept. an. 41 [1256-1257].

Licence to assign. Pickering (Yorkshire) (manor). Saturday on the feast of St. John Evang., 1337 (1337). . Licence from Thomas, abbot of [St. Mary at York?], to Sir William de Bruys to enable him to assign a messuage and two bovates of land in Midelton near Pikering for the foundation of a chantry in the church of St. Peter, Pikering.

Quitclaim. Wharram Percy (Yorkshire, East Riding). [1320-1323] (1323). . Quitclaim by Robert de Percy, lord of Wharrome-Percy, to Henry de Percy, his son, rector of the church of St. Martin of Wharrome Percy, all his right to a park in the village of Wharrome-Percy, and also in a certain stank (stagnum), which Master William Skeldersgate, formerly rector, held of him and acre of land and the advowson of the church in the same village, which the said Henry has for the term of his life by assize of novel disseisin before the judges at York [?] [...] 14 Ed. fil.
