Ralph Megre, parson of the church of Kessingland (Kessynglond), quit-claims to sir Erneric de Welyngton, kt., all right in the whole manor of Carlton Colville called Fastolf's (Carleton Colvyle called Falstolfs), and in all lands &c. in Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), Mutford, Barnby (Barneby), &c. lately acquired from sir Edmund de Hemgrave, knt. Dated at Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle) the Thursday on the feast of St. John, apostle, 32 Ed. III. Charters Suffolk 1262-65 are endorsed as having been exhibited in a law-suit, 15 March, 1697/98.
