Walter, son of the late Baldric the smith, of Wickham Skeith (?) (Wycham) , grants to Vincent, son of Robert Aylwy, for 18s., one piece of land in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wycham); paying annually three pence. (c. 1270-80.)

⟨Wickham Skeith.⟩ William Godenell, deacon, grants to Robert and John, sons of the late Jordan the carpenter, for their homage and service and for 29s., one piece of land lying in a field called 'Jolhege,' paying annually for the same 4d. (c. 1260-70.)

Martin Morkac of Wickham Skeith (Wicham) grants to William, son of Turgis of Rishangle, for his service and 11s., twelve pence of annual rent coming annually from John Gernun of Wickham Skeith (Wicham) for land in Wickham Skeith (Wicham). (c. 1250-60.)

Robert Hune and [ Berta his wife?], for 19s., grant to ... one piece of land in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wikham) which Agnes, who was the wife of Odo ..., gave to him in marriage dowry with her daughter the said Berta. (c. 1240-50.) [One half effaced.]

Robert, son of Henry de Bosco of Wickham Skeith (?) (Wicham) , quit-claims to Richard de Wicham, clerk, for ever, one penny annual rent, which he was accustomed to pay to him for a certain messuage in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wicham), which Benedicta the mother of Henry de Bosco, the grantors father, held as dowry. (c. 1290-1300.)

Thomas Gernun grants to Roger de Berton, clerk, that he may be his attorney to make the service to the chief lords of the fees which he holds of him in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wicham). (c. 1240-50.)

Roger, son of the late William de Cotton, kt., grants to Robert, son of the late Roger de Wycham, for half a mark two pieces of land, one lying in a field called 'Dune' and the other in a field called 'Merys,' in Wickham Skeith (Wycham), at an annual rent of one penny; releasing him from the dues of hens and work in autumn for the same. Dated 5 Ed. I.

Robert de Wyverdestun grants to Alexander, the 'pastor' of Wickham Skeith (Wycham), for 11s. 4d. one piece of land above Wickham Skeith (Scheyth) at an annual rent of 7d. (c. 1270-80.)

Martin del Grene of Wickham Skeith (Wycham) grants to Katherine his daughter and Nicholas le Goldsmit, in free marriage, one piece of his garden with buildings, &c., and 2 pieces of arable land in the field called 'Wlfryhtuft,' and 8d. annual rent from Theobald, his brother, in Wickham Skeith (Wycham); rendering annually 12d. (c. 1260-70.)

Brian, son of Odo de Colchester, grants to Nicholas de Bedefeld a piece of land in Wickham Skeith (Vicham) and the homage and service of William Bussop and his heirs, for a tenement held of the said Brian of the said fee. (c. 1260-70.)

Martin, son of Odo de Grene, grants to Nicholas de Bedefelde six acres of land in Wickham Skeith (Wicham). (c. 1270-80.) [In part illegible.]

Odo Morcoc grants to Godfrey Cordebof one acre of land in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wicham) and also the third part of the land which he holds from sir Hubert Cordebof, father of the said Godfrey, at an annual rent of 8d. (c. 1270-80.)

Indenture dated 20 April, 33 Henry VIII (1542), by which Richard Freeston of Mendham, esq., demises to Nicholas Godard of Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth), yeoman, a meadow, part of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wichamskeyth), for 42 years at an annual rent of 3s. 4d.

Indenture dated 7 January, 35 Henry VIII (1544), witnesseth that Richard Freston of Mendham, lord of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wicham Skeyth), in consideration of the payment of £12, grants to Nicholas Godard of Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) three acres of land in Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) for 300 years, at 3d annual rent.

Indenture made 14 May, 35 Hen. VIII (1543), by which Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., demises to Thomas Bedwall and Elizabeth his wife and their sons, Symond, John the Elder, and John the Younger, the site of the manor of Wykham called Wickham Skeith (Wykham Hall) and lands, &c. for 99 years, at an annual rent of £10.

Indenture made 10 November, 35 Hen. VIII (1543), by which Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., lord of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wyhamskeyth), in consideration of the receipt of .90, demises unto John Brame (or Branne) of Stoke Ash (Stokeasshe), yeoman, certain land in Wickham Skeith (Wykhamskeyth) for the term of three hundred years, at an annual rent of iiiid.

Indenture dated 7 December, 35 Hen. VIII (1543), by which Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., lord of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth), in consideration of the receipt of £6, demises to Edward Dove of Wickham Skeith (Wickham Skeyth) a small close of land in Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) for the term of 99 years, at an annual rent of iiiid.

Indenture dated 10 Decemb., 37 Hen. VIII (1545), by which Richard Freston of Mendham (Mendham in the co. of Suffolk), lord of Wickham Skeith (Wykhamskeyth), demises to John Brame of Stoke Ash (Stokeasshe) (The name is clearly Brame in the rental record), for £10 14s. 6d. in hand paid, one close called Grenecroft lying in Wickham Skeith (Wykhamskeyth), for 1000 years, at an annual rent of 1d.

Indenture dated 21 April, 14 Q. Eliz. (1572), by which Richard Freston of London, gent. demises to John Bedwall his lands, pastures, &c. in Wickham Skeith (?) (Wykham), called Holgateland, for 3 years, at an annual rent of 30s.

Rentell renued for a yeare due at St. Michaele, 1627,' for the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wickham Skeyth).

WOODBRIDGE. Hugh, son of Sewall de Wdebrigge, grants to William de Suwalde a piece of land and a house in Woodbridge (Wdebrigge), for 20s. (c. 1240.)

John Science of Great Yarmouth (Gernemuth) impledges to Roger, son of Richard Ingald of Wortham (Wrtham) , 7 acres of arable land in the fields of Wortham (Wrtham), to hold from the Friday next before the feast of the apostles SS. Simon and Jude, 23 Ed. I, to the Nativity following, for a loan of 40s.
