William, constable of Hwivermeres , grants to the prior and monks of Horkesley in frankalmoigne certain lands and rents in the villages of Hwivermeres, Eyland, Shefege, Horkele, and Reydune, for refreshment on the anniversary of the donor, providing of candles before the high altar and for two masses weekly for him in the chapel of St. Mary, where his body is to be buried. c. 1200-10?.)

Convention (indented) between Robert, the prior, and convent of Horkesley of the one part, and Robert, son of Thomas de Stokes , of the other, witnesseth that the prior and convent have demised to the said Robert 2 acres of land in the village of Wivermers for 10 years at 6d. per annum. STOKE NAYLOND. Indenture made 5 February, 3 Ed. VI (1549), by which the right to the presentation of the vicarage of Stoke by Nayland (Stoke Naylond) is adjudged to belong to William, bishop of Norwich, and acknowledged by Thomas Throughgood of London, gentleman, between whom an action concerning the right to the same had been instituted, and by Thomas Ruddock, vicar of Stoke by Nayland (Stoke Naylond).
