Warine de Barneby and Alan Reynald remit and quit-claim to sir Robert Spenser, parson of Ellingham (Elgh[am]), sir Edmund de Welles, parson of Beccles, and Richard Megre all their right in the manor of Carlton Colville called Fastolf's (Carleton Colvile called Fastolfes), and in all lands &c. in Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), Mutford, Barnby (Barneby), Lowestoft (Lowystoft), Kirkley (Kirkele), Pakefield (Pakefeld), Gisleham (Gysilham), Kessingland (Kessynglond), Rushmere St Michael (Resshemere), and Henstead (Hensted). Dated at Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvile) the Monday on the vigil of the Nativity of our Lord, 32 Ed. III. Charters Suffolk 1262-65 are endorsed as having been exhibited in a law-suit, 15 March, 1697/98.
