Mary V. demise unto Roger Barbor 27 acres of land in Bury St Edmunds (Bury), Westley (Westeley) and Horringer (Moche Hornyngferth) for 20 years, at an annual rent of 25s. 8d.
Grant by Q. Elizabeth to sir Nicholas Bacon of certain stock "or stawre" of the manor of Mildenhall (Mildenhale), co. Suffolk, formerly demised by the abbot and convent of Bury St. Edmund to Robert Clerk, the said Nicholas paying to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster , to which the manor of Mildenhall (Mildenhale) is lately annexed, £54 10s. 4d. Indenture between master Robert Bude, master or provost of the collegiate church of Wingfield, and the brethren of the same house of the one part, who demise to Robert Warner of Winfarthing (Wynferthyng) of the other part, a certain inclosure in Wingfield (Wyngfeld) for 60 years, at an annual rent of 8s. Richard Mighell of Lowestoft (Lowstofte), gent. grants to Robert Mighell his son, in consideration of a marriage between him and Joan Godding of Ipswich (Gippewic), daughter of Edward Goodding, the manor of Flixton, lands, tenements, rents, &c., lying and being in the above villages. ICKLINGHAM. Indenture between king Henry VIII and George Rowse reciting an indenture dated 18 October, 30 Hen. VIII (1538), from the abbot and convent of Bury St. Edmund, of a lease of the manor of Icklingham with members (Iklyngham), co. Suffolk, for 60 years, at an annual rent of £24, which said lease is surrendered, and another, by the present indenture, granted for 21 years at the same rent. Dated 12 December, 31 Hen. VIII (1539). Indenture made 16 July, 4 Elizabeth (1562), reciting the bequest of Henry Tooley, and the surrender to the mayor and corporation of Ipswich, of the lands, &c. given for the foundation of an hospital at Ipswich. [3.5 sheets; mutilated.]
SUDBURY. John Still, S.T.P., archdeacon of Sudbury (Sudburie), grants to Thomas Pead, jun., the office of notary public or registrar of his archdeaconry, and confirmed by Edmund, bp. of Norwich, and George Gardiner, the dean and chapter of the same church. Dated 18 July, 18 Elizabeth (1576).
SOUTHWARK. Indenture made 8 September, 37 Hen. VIII, by which Edward Weldyn of Suthwerk, esq., demises to John Cater, citizen and vintner of London , a garden platt and a house in the parish of St Olaf, Southwark for 50 years, at an annual rent of 26s. 8d.
Indenture dated 12 Jan., 4 and 5 Philip and Mary, between John Hussee of Cokefeld in the county of Sussex, esq., of the one part, and Averie Michell of Warnham of the other, being a sale of a messuage containing 8 acres to John Hussee by Averie Michell in Horsham, with all the deeds relating to the same.
