ICKLINGHAM. Indenture between king Henry VIII and George Rowse reciting an indenture dated 18 October, 30 Hen. VIII (1538), from the abbot and convent of Bury St. Edmund, of a lease of the manor of Icklingham with members (Iklyngham), co. Suffolk, for 60 years, at an annual rent of £24, which said lease is surrendered, and another, by the present indenture, granted for 21 years at the same rent. Dated 12 December, 31 Hen. VIII (1539). [With seal of Augmentation Office, broken.]
