Exning. 1511-1512. Lease from William Thomson of Exning (Ixnynge), Henry Michelle, Nicholas Arundelle, and William Garnet, of the same, to Leonard Colton', clerk, John Heigham, Edmund Lee, and Henry Pope, of a messuage with croft adjoining, in the vill of Ixnynge, between the messuage and croft of William Cowper, on the north, and that late of Thomas Colton', esq., on the south, one end abutting on the water-course, and another on the highway: which they held by leade from John Hore of Exning (Ixnynge), Henry Mason', William Michelle, John Fabyan', by charter dated 21 March, 15 Hen. VII [1499-1500]. The said Leonard etc. to hold the messuage and croft to the use of John Colton, gent., and Alice Jerkeys, and their heirs. Dated, at Exning (Ixnynge), 27 January, 3 Hen. VIII [1511-1512]. The four seals are wanting.

Blundeston. 1510. Extract from court roll (faded and mutilated) at the first court of Sir William Walgraue held … on Wednesday 2 Hen. VIII, the homage present that Geoffrey Chaundeler died on his bed and they have paid … to the court by Robert Bekerton in presence of Miles Keryche from lands in Blundeston late of Geoffrey Chaundeler next to the land of Philip Calthorpe, knt. on the E… remainder to Margaret wife of …, then to Robert Starys(?) and William … [Mentioning John Chaundeler 'his father' … 'held in the court on Tuesday the feast of the translation of St Edward 22 Hen. VII [1507?]]. Dated 2 Hen. VIII [1510].

Great Thurlow, Little Thurlow, Great Bradley, Little Bradley, Great Wratting. 1534. Writ from Henry VIII to the sheriff of Suffolk directing him to secure the observance by William Turnor of covenants made with Ann Bladwelle, widow, William Drury, knt., Robert Drury, esq., George Colte, esq., Bartholomew Brokysby, esq., Henry Meyer, Thomas Meyer, and Thomas Adde, concerning 2 messuages, 60 acres of land, 8 acres of meadow, 20 acres of pasture, and 24 acres of wood, with appurtenances in Little Thirlowe, Great Thirlowe, Great Bradley, Little Bradley, and Great Wrattyng, on pain of a summons before the Justices at Westminster. 6s. 8d. paid into the Hanaper. Glemsford. 1585. Francis Bastarde, gent. grants William Allen of Glemsford (Glemsforde, co. Suffolk, yeoman), residue of twenty-year lease of mannor of Glemsford (Glemsforde), granted 19 June 12 Elizabeth by Richard Coxe, deceased, then bishop of Ely. Faded and partly illegible. Seal is missing, so is the signature.

Wickham Market. 1581-1582. Grant by Queen Elizabeth to Sir Robert Wyngfelde of privilege of holding a weekly market, on Tuesdays and 3 fairs annually on the vigil, feast and morrow of St Mathias, St Mark, and SS. Simon and Jude.

Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmunds). 1568. An inspeximus under seal of Queen Elizabeth, of the charters of St Edmunds Abbey, Bury [St Edmunds, co. Suffolk], undertaken on the petition of Nicholas Barbon(?), rehearsing charters of Canute - Edward the Confessor (in A.S.) - Henry I - Richard I - John - Edward I - Edward III - Richard II - Henry IV. Signed by Osborne. Endorsed as enrolled 16 March 36 Eliz. by John Hesberd. Seal is missing.

Onehouse with Caldecotes (Onehouse Hall). 1566-1568. Court roll, court of 'Onehous Halle cum Caldecotts'. Dated: 10 July 8 Eliz. [1566] - 19 Feb. 10 Eliz. [1568].

Occold. 1569. Bargain and sale. Thomas Brome of Occold (Occold, Suffolk), yeoman, sells to John Jeasoppe of same, yeoman, freehold and copyhold land in Occold, lying in 2 closes called Spooner's tenement and Buxpuis, freehold land of 8.5 acres, customary land of 2.5 acres, for the price of £70, sale in fee simple. Dated: 4 October, 11 Eliz.

Wattisfield. 1584. Lease for long term of years. Robert Jermyn of (?), Suffolk, kt., and John Osborne of Harkstead, Suffolk, gent. lease to Robert Pett of Wattisfield (Wattisfield, Suffolk), weaver, 5 pieces of land in Wattisfeld (abuttals given), leased for 2000 years, for 2d. annually.
