Indenture by which Robert Rolfe of Grey's Inne, Middlesex, gent., son and heir of Roger Rolfe of Hadleigh (Hadley), deceased, approves and ratifies to Thomas Atkinson of Hadleigh (Hadley) all right and title to a capital mansion, &c. in Hadleigh (Hadley), which the said Thomas purchased of him and Edward Colman of Great Waldingfield. Dated 28 October, 24 Elizabeth (1582).

John, son and heir of Edward Jernegan, esq., grants to Robert Drury, William Waldegrave, and others his manors of Horham Jernegan's (Little Horham), Little Stonham (Stonham Jernegan), Newton, Corton (Gorton), and Lound (Lownde), with other lands, to the use of Bridget Jernegan, wife of John, for her life. Dated 10 May, 13 Hen. VIII (1521).

HUNSTON. Richard Appulton, son of Thomas Appulton, grants to William Appulton, son of the said Thomas, and others, his manor of Hunston Hall (Hunstanhall) in ... Dated at Hunston ... 12 January, 1 Hen. VIII (1510). [Partly illegible.]

ICKLINGHAM. Indenture between king Henry VIII and George Rowse reciting an indenture dated 18 October, 30 Hen. VIII (1538), from the abbot and convent of Bury St. Edmund, of a lease of the manor of Icklingham with members (Iklyngham), co. Suffolk, for 60 years, at an annual rent of £24, which said lease is surrendered, and another, by the present indenture, granted for 21 years at the same rent. Dated 12 December, 31 Hen. VIII (1539). [With seal of Augmentation Office, broken.]

Indenture made 16 July, 4 Elizabeth (1562), reciting the bequest of Henry Tooley, and the surrender to the mayor and corporation of Ipswich, of the lands, &c. given for the foundation of an hospital at Ipswich. [3.5 sheets; mutilated.]

Bond in £200 given by Humphrey Seckford of Ipswich, gent., to William Cornwallis, esq., dated 34 Eliz. [1592] for payment of £100 on 14 Oct., 14 Oct. 1593.

⟨Mundham (?)⟩. Grant from Henry Westyate of Mundham (Old Mundham) and Henry and Thomas Turnour, of the same, to John, Robert and Roger Westyal of one acre of land. Dated at Mundham, 22 Jan. 9(?) Hen. VIII.

MENDHAM. Indenture between Edmund Jetterre of Lowestoft, gent., and John Flower of Mendham, yeoman, by which the former, for the sum of six (?) score pounds, sells to the latter lands in Mendham and other places. Dated last day of Febr., 3 Eliz.

MENDLESHAM. Lease from Edward and John Crane, gents., to Margery Blomfyld of Little Stonham, and Robert her son of twelve acres of land in Mendlesham (Mendylsham), for twenty years, at a yearly rent of 13s. 4d. 20 May, 27 Hen. VIII (1535).

Grant from Robert Crane, son of John Crane late of Little Stonham (Little Stoneham), esq., deceased, to Thomas Parker, rector of the church of Little Stonham (Little Stoneham), Robert Blomffeld, of the same, yeoman, and Thomas Blomffeld of a pasture in Mendlesham (Mendelysham) called Lytylhane. 27 Sept. 10 Hen. VIII.

MICHELHAM. Marriage settlement between Thomas, duke of Norfolk and Henry, earl of Arundel on the proposed marriage of Thomas Howard, earl of Surrey, cousin and heir apparent of the said duke, to Mary, one of the daughters of the said earl, in which the earl undertakes to convey the manors of Michelham Parkgate (Mychelham, Parkgate), Sternfeld, Downash (Downask )and others in the county of Sussex. 6 April 1 Q. Mary.

Thomas Larke of Mildenhall (Myldenhall) and Thomas ...scote grant to John Barrett, senior, a messuage and tenement situate in the West Row (West Rowe) of Mildenhall (Myldenhall), together with certain land there, part of the possessions of Edmund Myldenhale's Chantry. Dated at Mildenhall (Myldenhall), 26 June, 4 Ed. VI (1550). [Slightly mutilated.]

Robert Childreston of Mildenhall (Mildenhale), son and heir of John Childreston, deceased, grants to Agnes Fletcher of Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund), for her life, Thomas Childreston, and others, a meadow with buildings erected thereon and three roods of land in Mildenhall (Mildenhale), at West Row (Westrowe) adjoining the meadow of the chantry of master Edmund [Mildenhale]. Dated at Mildenhall (Mildenhale), 15 June, 3 Hen. VIII (1511).

Robert Chylderston of West Row (Westrow, in Mildenhale), son and heir of the late John Chylderston, grants to Nicholas Palton all the lands &c. in Mildenhall (Mildenhale) which were William Chylderston's, his grandfather, excepting a tenement and land granted to his wife Agnes for her life, before their marriage. Dated at Mildenhall (Mildenhale), 24 June, 37 Hen. VIII (1545).
