John de Braham, and Thomas, son of William Austyn of Dunwich (Donewic) , remit and quit-claim to William, son of John de Leystone, all right in lands and tenements in Leiston (Leystone), Knodishall (Knodeshale), and Buxlow (Buxllyslowe), which they had by the gift of the said William. Dated at Leiston (Leystone) the Tuesday next after the feast of St. John ante port. Lat., 8 Edw. III (10 May 1334).

Thomas, son and heir of Ralph de Grotene, remits and quit-claims to John de Bousser, archdeacon of Essex, all his right in a certain annual rent of , £10 of silver from certain lands and tenements in the county of Suffolk, which Richard de Talworth granted to the said Ralph de Grotene. Dated at Great (?) Wratting (Wrottynge), Talworth, the Sunday next before the feast of the Nativity of St. John, 13 Ed. III.

Gilbert de Grangia of Great Waldingfield (Great Waldyngfeld) remits and quit-claims to sir John Carbonel, kt., all his right in the marriage of Simon, son and heir of Simon de Berton de Sudbury (Subery) . Nicholas Wychingham grants to John atte Gene of Somerleyton (Somarleton) the manor of Ashby (Askeby) with the church lands and appurtenances for 6 years after the date of these presents, paying annually 7 marks sterling. Dated 1 October, 20 Rich. II (1396). [Partially effaced.]

BARNEBY. Richard Grave (?) of Barnby (Barneby) grants to John Brufleth of Karleton, John Voculd (?) of Gisleham (Gusselham), and John Danyel of Karleton one inclosure lying in Barnby (Barneby). Dated at Barnby (Barneby) the Saturday after the feast of SS. Vedastus and Amand, 45 Ed. III. [Partly effaced.]

BECCLES. Matilda, late wife of William Nicole of Beccles, spycer, appoints Richard, the parson of South Elmham, and William Uprych, her attorneys to deliver seisin in her name of one plot of land in Beccles, to John le Neve of Brundish (Brundysh), chaplain, and John le Neve of Wilby (Wylebeye). Dated at Hinderclay (Hildercle), 17 May, 16 Ed. III (1342).

BECCLES and ENDEGATE. Composition between John Attezate, rector of Beccles, and John Stowe, rector of Endgate, concerning the tithes of the two villages of Beccles and Endgate. Dated at Beccles, 2 April, 1319.

Katherine Rose, formerly wife of Thomas Rose of Beccles (Becclis), confirms to sir William de Ely, parson of Beccles (Becclis), Robert Lyster, and Roger atte Lee, all her messuages, lands, tenements, &c. in the villages of Beccles (Becclis) and Lound (Lounde). Dated at Beccles (Becclis) the Sunday next after the feast of St. Michael, 17 Rich. II.

⟨Brandeston (?)⟩. Henry, the prior, and convent of the church of B. Mary, Wodebregge, grant to Thomas de Bosco ('Wood') of Brandeston (Brandestone) and Alice his wife for 20s. and paying annually two pence an old ditch ("foream") surrounding the messuage of the aforesaid Thomas and Alice, containing ten perches and ten feet, the perch containing 24 feet in width one foot. Dated at Brandeston the Wednesday next before the feast of St. Edmund, 35 Ed. I.

Dated at Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvile) the Monday on the vigil of the Nativity of our Lord, 32 Ed. III. Charters Suffolk 1262-65 are endorsed as having been exhibited in a law-suit, 15 March, 1697/98.

CARLETON COLVYLE, KYRKLE, PAKEFELD, GISLEHAM, MUTFORD, and HENSTEAD. John de Kymburle, parson of Mutford, Roger atte Heth, parson of Todenham, and Edmund Man of Mutford remit and by these presents quit-claim to Ralph Megre, parson of Kessingland (Kessynglond), all the right they have in Carlton Colville called Fastolf's (Fastolf)'s manor, viz. in all lands &c. in Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), Kirkley (Kyrkele), Pakefield (Pakefeld), Gisleham (Gyselham), Mutford and Henstead (Henstede), which they had by the gift of sir Edm. de Hemgrave, kt. CLARE. Mutilated convention, dated St Michael's day 1327, by which Edmund son of sir John de Norttoft, knt. leases his manor of Tilbury juxta Clare (Tyllebery juxta Clare) to several persons (names altered).

Sir Ralph de Buckyngge, kt., appoints Hamo del Wode his attorney to deliver seisin to William del Wode of Creeting St Mary (Cretyngge St. Mary) of one curtilage in the same village.
