Nicholas, bp. of Kildare, grants that all penitents who solicit the [grace] of Holy Mother Church and of the kingdom of England at the altar of St. Mary, St. Bridget, and All Saints, praying for the safety of the Lady Ela, countess of Warwick, while she is alive, and for her soul when she is dead, as well as those who offer other prayers, and those who serve the altar, shall receive an indulgence of 40 days. ⟨15 Sept.⟩ 1272. Henry, the abbot, and convent of St. Agatha grant and quit-claim to the abbot and monks of Jorevall the cow-common of Mudebech in Garcedale which they held of sir Adam fitz Hugh of Magneby , by girograph dated feast of St. Peter ad vincula 1240, for 12 years saving the common pasture, which they previously had for the payment of 16 marks by the abbot and convent of Jorevall.
