Adam, the abbot of Kyrkestall, grants to his prior and convent of Kirkstall 10s. 8d. of annual rents from the village of Roudun. (1249-59.)

Charter reciting the contention in the year of grace 1259, between sir Hugh, the abbot, and the convent of Kyrkestall, of the one part, and Robert the son of Richard le Blund of Alreton of the other, concerning the liberties, rights, and easements belonging to one bovate of land in Alreton which the said Robert holds as successor of his father and which are now granted to him by the said abbot and convent. Dated on the feast of SS. Simon and Jude, 44 Hen. III.

Alexander de le Eschaleres and Alicia his wife grant to the monks of Kyrkestall for 20 marks an annual rent of 23s. 4d. which the monks were accustomed to pay to them for a meadow in the territory of Folifayt. (c. 1260.)

William, son of William de Alreton , remits and quit-claims to the abbot and monks of Kyrkestall all right in one bovate of land, one acre and one essart in Alreton, of the gift of Henry the chaplain of Thornover . (c. 1250-60.)

Robert de Bernes grants to St. Mary and the monks of Kyrkestall, with his body, in frankalmoigne, 10d. of annual rent in the village of Calverle, with homages, reliefs, and other services, as paid by Hugh the Harper ("Citharista") and Thomas son of Jordan to Jordan son of Hugh de Secrof . Ralph, son of Geoffrey de Ardingtone , quit-claims to the monks of Kirkestall all right in two bovates of land in the village of Ardingtone, now held by Jordan de Bingelay and formerly by Hugh Wavasur . (c. 1250-60.)

Jordan de Storthys, son and heir of Suan de Leicester , grants to the monks of St. Mary Kyrkastall, in frankalmoigne, forty marks, the whole of his land in Neuhal and Bolling, paying yearly to Robert de Ferril 2s. 6d. Dated in the year of grace 1248.

John, son of Thomas, son of Rayner de Pontefract , remits and quitclaims to the abbot and convent of Kyrkestall the whole of the services and annual rent &c. which ...hel de Braddeford and three others were accustomed to render in the villages of Pontefract and Darington. Convention, dated at St. Sever the Saturday next after the feast of St. Luke, evang., 1287, between Hugh, the abbot, and convent of Kirkestal of the one part, and sir Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester , of the other part; by which the abbey quit-claims to the earl the lands held of him and his ancestors in Acrentone, Cliveacher and Hunnecotes in Lancashire, and in la Roundehaye, Secroft, and Shadewell in Yorkshire in return for annual payments of 50 marks for the lands in Lancashire, and 30 marks for those in Yorkshire.

BOLTON (Priory of). Alan, son of Richard de Wyntewrthe , quit-claims to the church and canons of St. Mary, Boulton, for a sum of money in hand paid, all right in one acre of land in the fields of Wyntewrthe within the lordship of the aforesaid canons. (c. 1280-990.)

John de la Pomeray confirms to John, son of Nicholas de Osgotby , a certain assart in Osgotby called 'Arnebrandriding,' also 12d. annual rent out of the said assart and one sellion of land near the way leading to the moor of Osgotby, paying annually to the prior of Draxe at the great altar of St. Nicholas of Drax one rose for all services. (c. 1260-70.)

John, the prior, and the convent of Giseburn, grant to John de Jarum, tanner, one toft with the buildings in the village of Jarum, near the churchyard and extending towards Teysiam paying annually to the sacrist for the light of the great altar of B. Mary 5s. (c. 1230-40.)

William, son of Nicholas de Alretun , grants to John, son of Adam de Cukeric , and his heirs, one bovate of land in Alretun in free marriage with Silke his daughter, doing the service due from the bovate, whence 16 carucates make one knight's fee. (c. 1220-30.)

Convention (chirograph) between sir John, brother of sir Gilbert de Aton , and William Albus , whereby the said William demises to the said John one bovate of land in the territory of Aton, which Alan son of Milo held of the said William. Dated Easter, 1223.

Robert de Gousel grants to Martin, son of Ralph the deacon, of Aton , and his heirs, a certain part of his toft in Aton, viz. 8 perches extending lengthways from the cemetery of the chapel of S. Mary paying annually one penny "monete usualis in Anglie". Dated April 1259.

Walter le porter of Aton , grants to William Haralde of Aton the whole of his land which he bought of Emma, daughter of Roger de Cnaresburge (Knaresborugh) , in the village of Aton; paying annually 7½d. to the lord of the fee. Dated the Sunday after the Sunday in which is sung 'Quasi modo geniti', 1285.

BURTON (West). Thomas de Ardern , abiding ("manens") in Westburton, grants to sir Adam de Spofford, vicar of Westburton , and sir William his brother, chaplain, for a sum of money, the whole of the land which he has of the gift of the dean and chapter of York in the village of Westburton; paying yearly 3s. to the dean and chapter. Dated at Westburton, Ides of February, 1284.

DUFFELD. Alan Wastehose grants to Peter, son of Godfrey de Roxtun , one bovate of land in Duffeld, which Adam, the son of Elviva held; rendering yearly one pound of cummin. (c. 1200-10.)

⟨ Halifax.⟩ Richard, the clerk of Halifax , grants and quit-claims to William de Eland, chaplain, for a sum of money, two acres of land in Suthuverum which lie in Stonirode, which the said Richard held of John de Lasey of Crumbwelbothim ; paying yearly to the said John 8d. (c. 1270-80.)

⟨ Halifax.⟩ William de Eland, chaplain, confirms to Amabilla, daughter of William the tailor of Halifax and her children ("pueris suis"), viz. his foster-children ("alumpnis meis"), the whole of that land which he holds in Suthuverum at Stonirode and Lifkarpihelis, with the new land held of John de Eland and the assart called Hunarrode; paying yearly to John de Eland 2s. and to the heirs of John the Clerk of Crumbwelbothim 9d. and to the heirs of John de Lasci 8d. John, son of John Clerk of Crumwelboym , grants to Richard the clerk of Halifax for a sum of money the whole of his land in the territory of Huverum, which Thomas de Mora of Halifax used to hold of John the Clerk , viz. that land which lies near the way called Morgate on the north and the water called Halifaxbroych on the west; paying annually 9d. (c. 1260.)

HOTON. Cecilia, relict of Hugh de Driffeld , quit-claims to William called 'Schynner' of Hotun all right and claim in a toft and croft in the village of Hoton. (c. 1230-40.)

Letia, formerly wife of Alan servant (servientis) of Neuton , grants and quitclaims to Richard, son of Elyas , at the wood of Alverton, for a sum of money all right and claim which she has in land and a tenement which Alan her husband sold to Richard the Forester del Runhay . (c. 1260-70.) .
