Nine leaves from an old ledger book of the church of St. Mary, York (formerly in Hatton library), of which the last four, written by a second hand, are numbered by a 15th cent. hand, 55, 56, 59, 60, having several grants entered upon them, including: (uu) notes of grants of land in Hessay, viz.: Gamell, son of William, gave 2 bovates; William, son of Thomas de Essay, gave 2 1/2 bovates.
