Nine leaves from an old ledger book of the church of St. Mary, York (formerly in Hatton library), of which the last four, written by a second hand, are numbered by a 15th cent. hand, 55, 56, 59, 60, having several grants entered upon them, including: (ss) notes of grants of land in Popilton by: Osbert de Arches, who gave 3 1/2 carucates of land; William, son of Simon de Colton, gave 2 carucates; Pagan, son of Walden, gave a mill and 4 acres; William de London gave the wood of Popilton towards Ensam; Thomas, son of William the clerk of Popilton, gave 80 acres of wood in the same place.
