Ledger, grant. York, Benedictine abbey of St. Mary. [temp. Ed. I] (1307). . Nine leaves from an old ledger book of the church of St. Mary, York (formerly in Hatton library), of which the last four, written by a second hand, are numbered by a 15th cent. hand, 55, 56, 59, 60, having several grants entered upon them, including: (m) Adam de Kneton or Keton grants to the church of St. Michael of Middelton, one bovate of land in the field of Keton, and one toft in the same village which was Adam Prudfot's; for this donation Robert de Longo Campo, the abbot, and convent of St. Mary, York, to whom donation of the church pertains, with the consent of the parsons of the said church of Middelton, grant to the donor the celebration of the divine office on Wednesday and Friday weekly in the chapel of St. James of Keton.
