Confirmation of agreement and grant. Mottisfont, priory of Austin canons. [c. 1260-1270] (1270). . Confirmation by the Official of the Bishop of Winchester of the agreement between the abbot and convent of St. Edward of Letthely [Netley], and the prior and convent of Motesfunte, rectors of the church of Elinges, and patrons of the vicarage of the same, also Gilbert, perpetual vicar of the same church, concerning the tithe of hay from 13 1/2 acres of meadow, which the said abbot and convent had in Estmore, Stretforlang, and Loddingeham, within the limits of the parish of Elinges, which is conceded to belong to the said abbey: and for this agreement, 40s are given to the use of the vicarage (chirograph).
