‘The number of acres of lande and meade of Thomas Denton, Esq., belonging unto the personage of Stratton Audelye in the countye of Oxforde whiche landes John Burlesc’, Esq., lorde of the sayde manour of Stratton hath in exchange of the sayde Thomas Denton four other landes in the sayde Fealdes and lordeship of Stratton as hereafter ensueth.’
- (i) (demesne) 10 a. 1 rood, and a butt.
- (ii) Now in the tenure of Robert Macham , 3½a.
- (iii) Now in the tenure of Thomas King , 2a. 1r. 16½ ‘doles’ of meadow.
- (iv) T.D.’s freehold, late the possession of the monastery of Cirencester and now in the tenures of William Jakeman and John Tytmowse and Alice Arnebowrough . 1½ a. and 3½ ‘doles’ of meadow in Stretton. [These lands and the lands for which they were exchanged, are set forth strip by strip against each other, with the situation of each.]
