Claydon (Bucks. ⟨recte Oxon.⟩). Richard de Grimescote son of Anselm de Grimescote grants to the same in free alms, (i) one virgate of arable land in Cleydon, which Henry le Hunte once held from him; (ii) and a messuage with a croft, lying between the prior’s land and the road to the church, which William Faber once held from him; (iii) all his right in the land called Presteshurne. Witnesses: Simon de Croprey , John Catheleu , Anselm de Grimescote , Henry the marshal , Gilbert de Walecote . ⟨c. 1260–70.⟩ This charter is written in the same hand as MS. D. D. Ch. Ch. M. 32.
