Norton. Letters patent of P[aul] abbot of Leicester , S[ilvester] prior of Kinelegurd , and Master Henry de Eston , reciting a letter of pope Innocent III ordering them to hear the dispute between J. priest, and the monks of D⟨aventry⟩ who hindered his presentation to the church of Northnorton (Given at Rome 26 May. a° 1.), announcing that James has surrendered his claim and that the monks will give him 5 marks 5/- for his expenses. Witnesses: Adam the chaplain, master Gerard of Rowelle , Sir Theobald , master Geoffrey of Depint’e , canons, master Roger of Sumerford , Hugh ‘clericus domini Lincoln’.’ [Torn.] ⟨1198.⟩
