Needham Street (Needham-Street). 1304. Grant from John atte Medwe, of Nedham, and Margery his wife, to Thomas Sperlynge of the same, for a certain sum of money, of a messuage, with buildings thereon, lying between the messuages of Alice and Walter Clunkebelle, adn that of Agnes Clynkebelle, abutting on the highway and on the croft called Clunkebellescrofte, and containing, in length, 6 perches, 8 feet; in headth, at the end towards the street, 1 perch, 13 feet, at the other end, 2 perches, 4 feet. Dated at Nedham on Sunday [5 April] after Easter week, 32 Ed. I [1304]. Witnesses: Walter Mercer, Richard Warner, William Sperlynge, Walter Kersoner, William Sparke, John atte Berwe, John Warde, and many others.
