Ipswich. 1483-1484. Lease from Thomas Heigham, sen., James Hoberd, John Gosse, John Squyer, clerk, and Thomas Draylle, to William Pernelle, William Harlewyne, William Dewe, John Forgone, Robert Benne, and Robert Peteman, of two tenements under one roof, newly built, in the suburb of Ipswich (Gippewicc) in St Clement's parish, between the messuage late of Thomas Bowyere, on the east, and that once held by Emma Belle and the curtilage of Thomas Wade, on the east, the southern end abutting on the highway, and the northern end on St Clement's churchyard, which tenements the grantors lately held by lease from John Cappe, clerk. Power of attorney is given to John Wapone to deliver up possession of same to the grantees. Dated, at Ipswich (Gippewicum), 5 February, 1 Ric. III [1483-1484]. Witnesses: Richard Hawkyswade, and William Sewale, bailiffs of Ipswich, John Kyrre, and William Wymbylle, coroners of the town; Thomas Reydon', esq., John Toughe, Edmund Leggy, and many others.
