Higham (Higham etc). 1384-1385. Grant from Matilda Heryng, widow of Robert Heryng of Higham (Heyham) , to Agnes, daughter of John Cartere, of the same, of one acre of arable land in the field of Heyham called Schyrdynhel (or Scherdenhelle), next to the land of Richard Spayne, abutting one side on the land of Thomas Heyham, and on the other on the highway called Chercheweye. Dated at Higham (Heyham) on Wednesday [2 Feb.] after the feast of St Agatha Virgin, 8 Ric. II [1384-1385]. Witnesses: Thomas Heyham, John Lote, Richard Colet, Nicholas Taylour, Robert Fleptone, and others. The seal is wanting.
