Higham. 1345. Indenture, by which Gilbert le Waleys of Higham (Heiham of the parish of Gaislee), grants and impledges to Thomas, son of Richard of Gaislee of Higham (Heiham) , and John Fyche of the same, for 100s., all lands and tenements held by him in the vill and fields of Heyham, from the date of this indenture, to the feast of St Margaret the Virgin next following, when he may recover possession by repaying the money. Dated at Higham (Heiham), on Palm Sunday, 19 Edw. III [20 March, 1345]. Witnesses: Thomas Passelewe; Thomas son of Thomas, Thomas son of Margaret, Robert of Honedene, Thomas Nichole, and others. The seal is wanting.
