Higham. 1313-1314. Grant from Walter of Saham, of the parish of Higham (Gaysle) to John Fyss of Higham (Heyham) and Sarra his wife, for a sum of money, of an acre of arable land in the fields of Heyham, lying between the land of Adam (the shepherd) 'Bercar' and that of Walter le Fader, and abutting on the high road, towards the field called Walhepes, and on the heath called 'le Schottehetz'. Dated at Higham (Heyham) on Thursday [14 March] after the feast of St Gregory, Pope. 7 Edw. II [1313-1314.] Witnesses. Thomas Passelewe, Thomas the son of Thomas, Robert Passelewe, Walter le Kersener, Reginald of Gaysle, Thomas (Smith) Faber', Walter Sparke, Robert of Howedene, Walter le Mercer. The seal is wanting.
