Indenture between the abbot and convent of Oseney on the one part, and the master and scholars or fellows of Balliol College of the other, witnesseth that the abbot and convent ⟨of Oseney⟩ have demised a certain area in Jury lane, Oxon, opposite to the civil law school, standing in length toward the tenement of the master and fellows called Burnelshy and abutting on that of John Hamwell, "gentylman", to Balliol College for 99 years, at an annual rent of 3s. 4d. Dated on the feast of St. Gregory the pope, 1443, 22 Hen. VI.
