Confirmation by [Thomas earl of Lancaster of the charter of William, son of Gilbert de Rither, granting to the church of St. Mary Boultoun and the canons there one toft in the village of Rither in a place which is called Hill, and one plot of land, and 11 acres in the fields of Rither hill and Doggethorp. Dated at his castle of Pontefract [French, mutilated in the first line].

Confirmation. Bridlington, Augustinian priory. c. 1135-1140.. Confirmation by Thurstan, archbishop of York, of the agreement made between the church of Beverley and the canons of Bridlington, touching the alms of 2 thraves or 2d. yearly from each (working) plough in every town in the parishes of Bridlington and Hunmanby.

II, by which Elizabeth Comyn acknowledges the right of Hugh le Despenser jun., to the castle and manor of Castel Godrich, with appurtenances in the marches of Wales, for which the said Hugh gave 500 sterling.

Demise. Ickleton (Cambridgeshire). 12 December, 12 Hen. IV (1410). . Indenture witnessing that Sir Thomas Swynbourne, kt., has demised to James Russell of Iklynton the whole of the manor of Iklyngton, in the county of Cambridge, with all its appurtenances, also all the lands, rents, etc. called Brokyngton Rente, which John Clynton held for his life in Iklyngton, also divers other lands called le Milleland, in the same village, to hold the same for 6 years at an annual rent of 3s.4d.; with further conditions in case the said Sir Thomas should rebuild the mill there.

Grant. Beighton (Derbyshire). [c. 1230] (1230). . Grant from Nicholaa de Novo Foro [Newmarket]to Thomas Gere of Becton the whole of his demesne arable land within and without the village of Becton, excepting certain portions, and also that which will come to him on the death of Amabla his brother's wife; granting also meadow and his part of the mill, and the tower of the late castle, paying annually to him and his heirs one pound of cummin at the feast of St. Thomas, for all service ; for this donation the said Thomas gave 11 marks of silver.

Grant. Hatterboard (Yorkshire, North Riding). Sunday next after the feast of St. William, 1339 (1339). . Indenture (caled "indentate", but not indented) witnessing that Sir William Bruys, kt., grants to Sir Alexander de Bergh, kt., the whole of his land in the village and territory of Haterbergh, paying annually to the said William and his heirs 13s 4d. Dated at Haterbergh, near Scardeburgh.

Grant. Sezincote (Gloucestershire). [c. 1200-1210] (1210). . Grant from William, son of Thomas de Kingesford, to William de Bishop's Bridge [Ponte Episcopi] of Camped[en], and his heirs, one hide of land in the village of Shesnecote which is of the fee of William de Beauchamp, which Avice, mother of the donor, gave and granted to the said William de Bishop's Bridge, paying annually 20s.; in case he cannot warrant the said land he will give to him in exchange land in the village of Northwic to the value of the same; for this the grantee gives four marks.

Writ. Fordington (Dorset) (manor). 27 November, 9 Ric. II (1385). . Writ from King Richard II, to Richard Otery, his escheator of the county of Dorset, commanding him to take the fealty of Sir John Trevet, kt., for the third part of the manor of Fordyngton, on the death of Joan, late princess of Wales, mother of the king, who held the same in dower ; the said manor having been granted to Sir John Trevet by Edward, late prince of Wales, and confirmed by letters patent. Dated at Westminster.

Grant from Roger de Benyngwade to the prioress and nuns of Bolyngton, of the order of Sempyngham, the mill upon the water called [Beyne] with its appurtenances. [Copy, slightly mutilated and partly effaced.] Copy in the late 14th century of a charter of the latter half of the 12th century.

Grant. Hackthorn (Lincolnshire). [c. 1270-1280] (1280). . Grant from the lady Clemencia de Neovile, formerly wife of Sir William de Alencun, to Geoffrey, son of Alexander de Hakethorn, one toft with appurtenances, viz. that which Beatrice Makefare formerly held of her, paying annually one penny for all services.
