Robert, son of Adam Gerard of Leiston (Leystone) , grants to John Peres and Elena his wife of Leiston (Leystone) for the sum of ten shillings one piece of land in Knodishall (Cnodeshale) called le Potbrede. Dated at Knodishall (Cnodeshale) the Tuesday next after the feast of St. Michael, 31 Ed. I.

Adam Gerard and Margery his wife of Leiston (Leystone) grant to Robert their son for the sum of twelve shillings the half of one piece of land in the village of Knodishall (Cnodeshale). Dated at Knodishall (Cnodeshale) the Sunday next after the feast of St. Andrew, 31 Ed. I.

Peter Cosyn of Wissett (Wysete) grants to Peter, son of Adam of the Church ("de ecclesia"), the younger ('junior'), one piece of land in the village of Knodishall (Cnodeshale). Dated at Knodishall (Cnodeshale) the Thursday next after the feast of St. Walentine, 10 Ed. II.

Roger Cruke of Knodishall (Knodishale) grants to John de Braham and John his son one piece of land lying in the village of Knodishall (Knodishale). Dated at Knodishall (Knodishale) the Sunday on the feast of St. Gregory, 11 Ed. II.

Warin Bygot of Knodishall (Knodeshale) grants to Adam de Ecclesia of Knodishall (Knodeshale), William his son, and Alice wife of the said William, one piece of land in the village of Knodishall (Knodeshale). Dated at Knodishall (Knodeshale) on St. Luke's day, 1 Ed. III.

Semman de Resschemere of Freston grants to Matilda his daughter one piece of land in Knodishall (Knodessale). Dated at Freston the Sunday next after the feast of St. Andrew, 14 Ed. III.

John Jordan of Leiston (Leyston) grants to sir Richard Lealford, clerk, all his lands, &c. in Knodishall (Knodeshale), which he had by demise of Rob. Barfote John Jok and Richard Horn, and they had by the gift of John Skynner. Dated at Leiston (Leyston), 14 June, 4 Hen. VII (1489).

DUNWICH. Certificate of the bailiffs John Benifice and Francis Gray and burgesses, of Dunwich given to Thomas Mighells, jun. of Lowestoft (Leystoft), (reciting charter of K. John relieving the burgesses of Dunwich from toll, &c.,) and that the said Thomas Mighells is a burgess of Dunwich. Dated 10 Nov., 1678.

HASELWODE. William Hebbys of Hazlewood (Hasylwode) grants to John ...kele one piece of meadow lying in the village of Hazlewood (Hasylwode). Dated at Hazlewood (Hasylwode), 10 Hen. [IV]. [Mutilated, and in great part effaced.]

HENSTEAD. Humphrey Yermouth of Henstead (Hensted) remits and quitclaims to William Sydnor of Blundeston, esq. all causes of action against him. Dated 2 August, 16 Elizabeth (1574).

Richard Sallowes, for a certain sum of money in hand paid, grants to William Sydnor of Blundeston (Blondeston) a messuage and 16 pieces of land in Henstead (Hensted). Dated 3 May, 24 Elizabeth (1582). ,

Edward Fleetcroft of Henstead (Henstede), husbandman, in consideration of a certain sum of money, grants to William Sydnor of Blundeston two pieces of land in Henstead (Hensted). Dated at Henstead (Hensted), 18 November, 32 Q. Eliz.

Bond given by Richard Sallowes of Benacre in £70 to William Sydnor, for the performance of certain covenants. Dated 3 May, 24 Eliz. (1582)

HOLTON. William de Stanham remits and quit-claims to the lady Petronilla de Nerford all right and claim in John Folke and Geoffrey le Roo of Holton his natives and all that belongs to them, whom he acquired from Robert del Heghe of Wissett (Wyssete). Dated at Wissett (Wyssete) the Tuesday next before the feast of Pentecost, 5 Ed. II.

LEISTON. Theobald, son of William de Leystune, grants to William his brother for the sum of 10s. one acre of land in Leiston (Leystune), at an annual rent of 2d. (c. 1260-70.) Thomas "Corn de bof" is a witness; the name is afterwards written "Condebof."

John de Braham, and Thomas, son of William Austyn of Dunwich (Donewic) , remit and quit-claim to William, son of John de Leystone, all right in lands and tenements in Leiston (Leystone), Knodishall (Knodeshale), and Buxlow (Buxllyslowe), which they had by the gift of the said William. Dated at Leiston (Leystone) the Tuesday next after the feast of St. John ante port. Lat., 8 Edw. III (10 May 1334).

Adam Hollok of Westleton (Westylton) quit-claims to .... Letewene (?) of Leiston (Leyston) and Roger Pottok all right of action, &c. Dated at Leiston (Leyston) the Friday next after ...., 5 Rich. II.

Alice de Thorpp, relict of John de Thorpp of Leiston (Leyston), grants to William Bokele of Leiston (Leyston) and Robert Dersham of Brampton all his lands which he holds in fee simple in the soke of Leiston ('in soka de Leyston '). Dated at Leiston (Leyston) the Friday on the feast of St. Margaret, virgin and martyr, 21 Rich. II.

⟨Mellis (?)⟩. William Godinhale of Wickham Skeith (Vycham), chaplain, grants to William, son of Thomas Gordan, 12d. of annual rent which the said Thomas was accustomed to pay to the said William for one piece of land lying between certain boundaries. Dated at Mellis (Melles) on the day of the Nativity of St. John Baptist, 26 Ed. I.

MIDELTON. John Laur... grants to Roger, son of John of the bridge "de le Pont" of Middleton (Middilton) and to Basilia daughter ... Dated Sunday after ... 18 Ed. II. [Almost entirely effaced.]

SOUTHWOLD. Anthony Allen of Southwold, gent., sells to his son Robert Allen all his goods and chattels of every kind as well in Southwold as elsewhere in England. Dated 4 Feb., 44 Elizabeth (1602).

THEBERTON. Sir Ralph Wigor, kt., grants to John de Norwic the manor of Theberton (Thebirton) in Suffolk. Dated at Theberton (Thebirton) the Sunday on the feast of St. Cuthbert, 5 Ed. I. (The feast of St Cuthbert, 20 March, was on Saturday in that year.)

John de Leyston grants to William and Hugh his sons 6s. of annual rents from land in the fields of Theberton and Middleton (Middilton). Dated the Monday after the feast of St. Luke, 28 Ed. I.
