HEMMINGSTON. Robert Thedware of Coddenham (Codenham) grants to Geoffrey his son, chaplain, five pieces of land in the village of Hemingstone (Hemmingestun), for five marks. Dated at Coddenham (Codenham) on the day of St. Francis the confessor, 24 Ed. I.

MICKFIELD. Richard Wodeward grants to Gilbert Ffeldgate of Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspale) and three others one inclosure, with the site of a tenement called 'Olyves,' in Mickfield (Mekefield). Dated at Mickfield (Mekefield) the Thursday next after the feast of St. Faith, virgin, 27 Hen. VI.

Indenture between Robert Harpeley, esq., and John Northhawe of Winston (Wynston), by which the said Robert grants to the said John lands called Bakonys &c. in the villages of Mickfield (Mekylfeld), Debenham and Stonham Aspal, for twenty years paying yearly for four years 8 marks, and for 16 years 8 marks 6s. and 8d. Dated the Friday on the feast of St. Bartholomew, 37 Hen. VI.

Indenture made 26 Sept., 26 Hen. VIII (1534), by which Edward and John Crane demise to Jone Benight of Mickfield, widow and her eldest son William, certain parcels of land in Mickfield, for 20 years, paying annually for the same 33s. 4d. [Mutilated.]

NETTLESTEAD. Sir Richard Wentworth, kt., grants to Edward White , esq., for his good counsel to the said sir Richard and to his son Thomas, an annuity of 26s. 8d. charged on his manor of Nettlestead (Nettlested) in Nettlestead (Nettlested). Dated 25 March, 11 Hen. VIII (1520).

STONHAM ASPAL. William Feldgate of Stonham Aspal and others grant to John Crane(?) and others a messuage in the village of Stonham Aspal. Dated at Stonham Aspal, 15 October, 19 Hen. VII (1503). [Much rubbed.]

Robert Crane, esq., and others grant to William Wareyn of Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspall) and two others, a messuage and croft called Smethis in the village of Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspall), in trust for William Wareyne. Dated at Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspall), 10 October, 4 Hen. VIII (1512).

STONHAM EARLS. Henry Bruse grants to Richard le Wyte and Beatrice his wife, for five marks one piece of land in the parish of Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls) called 'Gatherdesaker.' (c. 1240-60.) (See MS. Ch. Suffolk 1031)

Richard le Hotot de le Percis(?) grants to William de Henleye and Felicia his wife, certain land in Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls). Dated at Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls) the Wednesday on the vigil of the Epiphany, 5 Ed. II.

John le Qwyte of Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls) remits and quit-claims to John de Mundeford, chaplain, all his right in a piece of land in the village of Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls) called 'Gatrysaker.' Dated at Stonham Earls the Sunday next after the feast of St. Peter in Cathed., 6 Ed. III.

STONHAM EARL, CREETING ST. MARY, and CREETING ST. OLAVE. Indenture made 28 Jan., 21 Hen. VII (1506), by which Charles Knevett, esq. of Little Stonham (Stonham Gernegan) lets to farm to Philip Gyssyng of Earl Stonham (Stonham County), two tenements in Earl Stonham (Stonham Cunti) and Creeting St Olave (Creeting St. Olave), called Thornys and Brydnellys, and a close lying in Earl Stonham (Stonham Cuntti) and Creeting St Mary (Creting St. Mary) called Norwey; for 30 years, paying annually 20s.

STONHAM JERNEGAN. John Bissop grants to John, the chaplain of Little Stonham (Stanham), for his homage and service and 10s., half an acre, of land in Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan). (c. 1240-50.)

William Oslard (Oltard?) grants to Alice de Derham (?) for half a mark one rood of land in Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan), which she held of the grantors father Robert. (c. 1220-30.)

John Cordebof grants to William, son of William de Ceresi, the whole of his land in Little Stonham (Little Stanham) to hold the same by the payment of 3s. per ann. (c. 1220-30.)

Richard, son of Walter the Smith of Little Stonham (Stanham) , quit-claims to William de Cyresi, son of William all his right in a piece of land in Little Stonham (Little Stanham). (c. 1270-80.)

Walter Marie grants to John de Pinkeney and Luciane his wife, for 20s. one acre of land in the village of Little Stonham (Little Stanham), paying annually two pence. (c. 1250-60.)

Thomas Crowe(?) of Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan) grants to William de Hendleye and Felicia his wife one piece of land lying in Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan) in exchange. Dated at Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan) the Sunday next after the feast of the purification B.V.M., 33 Ed. I.

William de Hodleye[sic] and Felicia his wife grant to Margaret de Cyresy, for the term of her life, one piece of land in the parish of Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan). Dated at Little Stonham (Stanham Gernegan) the Sunday next after the feast of St. Valentine, 33 Ed. I.

John Brouse, son of Henry Brouse, remits and quit-claims to Felicia, widow of William de Hendleye, all his right in certain lands in Little Stonham (Stonham Gernegan). Dated at Little Stonham (Stonham Gernegan) on the feast of St. Gregory, 7 Ed. III.

Philip Deneys, "chivalier", Edmund, parson of Mickfield (Mikelfelde), Thomas Cordewaner, clerk, and William Fysshe of Needham Market (Nedham) grant to sir William Elmham, kt., and 6 others, the tenements called Stubbyngges, Horshawe and le Rodehous in Little Stonham (Stonham Jernegan), Cobbescroft in Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls), and Jokenenaker in Creeting All Saints (Cretyngge All Saints). Dated at Little Stonham (Stonham Jernegan) the Thursday on the feast of St. George, 6 Rich. II.

Thomas Sengylton of Mendlesham (Mendelysham) remits and quit-claims to Robert Crane all his right, &c. in the manor of Flude Hall with Waltham (Flede) in Little Stonham, and in all lands, &c. in the hundred of Bosmere-and-Claydon Hundred (Bosmere). Dated 1 Nov., 16 Hen. VI (1437)

Agnes Crane of Little Stonham and others are bound to Agnes Paston in a sum of ten marks, payable at the feast of St. John the Baptist, 1451. Dated 18 June, 27 Hen. VI (1449).
