Richard, son of Robert of the cemetery "de cimiterio" of Allerton , grants to the monks of Kirkestall the whole of his land in Colwaynrode, also he quit-claims all his right in all lands, mills, woods, &c. of which the said monks were seised in the year 1238, viz. in the territories of Allerton, Hedingleid , and Osmundthorp. Witn. Alan, vicar of Ledes .

Convention, dated at St. Sever the Saturday next after the feast of St. Luke, evang., 1287, between Hugh, the abbot, and convent of Kirkestal of the one part, and sir Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester , of the other part; by which the abbey quit-claims to the earl the lands held of him and his ancestors in Acrentone, Cliveacher and Hunnecotes in Lancashire, and in la Roundehaye, Secroft, and Shadewell in Yorkshire in return for annual payments of 50 marks for the lands in Lancashire, and 30 marks for those in Yorkshire.

Convention dated 1257, on the feast of the Ascension of our Lord, between Eljzabeth, formerly wife of Jordan de Lisle "de Insula" (one of the witnesses to the preceeding charter), and the master and brethren of the Knights Templars in England, witnesseth that the said Elizabeth quit-claims all her right to certain lands and tenements in Colton, which the brethren have by the gift of her late husband, for which they consent to give her two marks yearly for life in their house at Hensum [recte Neusum].

KILLINGBECK. John, Lord Darcy , grants to Robert Turner of Colton a messuage lying in Killingbeyk and ten acres of land, paying yearly vii (?) shillings. Dated at Selby, the Thursday after the feast of St. Martin, 8 Hen. VI.

Walter Graver of Bayldon grants to sir John Newell, kt., Thomas Newell, kt., and Oliver Elystons, chaplain all lands and tenements which he has in Manston[sok] and Otlay, also one messuage in Bayldon, and all his goods moveable and immoveable ("bona, tam viva quam mortua"). Dated at Chaster on the feast of St. Margaret, 31 Hen. VI.

OSMUNDTHORP. Peter, son of Tomas de Hosmundthor[p] , confirms to Roger, son of Gerard de Hosmundthorp , one bovate of land in the fields of Hosmundthorp, which Adam son of Simon formerly held, one toft which Avicia and Sibilia sisters of the said Tomas formerly held, and one croft; paying annually four shillings. (c. 1230.) .

William, son of Robert of the cemetery, of Allerton , grants to Alexander, son of Alexander de Oustorpe , and his heirs, the whole of his land in Osemundtorpe, which he had of the tenement of Isabella his mother; to hold of the house of the knighthood of the Temple at Neus' paying annually to the said house the due farm. (c. 1260-70.) .

Ellen, wife of Thomas Bantan of Osmunthorp , and Angnes her daughter, grant to William, son of William Ossemunde of the same place, one bovate of land, which Adam son of Samson formely held, and one croft in Ossemundthorp; paying yearly 4s. to the chief lords. Dated at Ledis on the vigil of the Purification of the B. M., 9 Ed. II.

Elena, daughter of Adam dil Hole of Osmundthorp , grants to John, son of William le Tynkler of Ledes , and Agnes his wife, one acre of arable land in Osmundthorp, lying above les Mersiklendes. (c. 1280-1290.)

Agnes, daughter of William Broune , remits and quit-claims to Robert de Caldecotes all right in lands and tenements in the village of Osemondethorp, which she had by the gift of the said Robert for the term of her life. Dated on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 21 Ric. II.

John Skelton of Osmandthorp grants to Henry Rokley , and William Scott, esq., and William Musgrave, chaplain, all messuages, lands, and tenements, &c. within the lordship of Osmondthorp. Dated 10 Oct., 7 Hen. VII.

Charter indented between sir William Darcy, kt., of one part, and John Skelton of Osmundthorp of the other part, witnesseth that the said William grants to the said John all his lands and tenements in Osmundthorp for 100 years, paying annually £8. Dated 4 April, 23 Ed. IV.
