Henry de Stainegrive grants to William, son of Nicholas Russel , and Richard his brother, licence to sell or pledge or give to the church of St. Nicholas of Drax and the canons there, in frankalmoigne, the whole of his land in Neuhay. (c. 1190-1200.)

John de la Pomeray confirms to John, son of Nicholas de Osgotby , a certain assart in Osgotby called 'Arnebrandriding,' also 12d. annual rent out of the said assart and one sellion of land near the way leading to the moor of Osgotby, paying annually to the prior of Draxe at the great altar of St. Nicholas of Drax one rose for all services. (c. 1260-70.)

BARDELBY. John, son of William de Celar' of Athelyngflete , remits and quit-claims to sir Gilbert de Aton, lord of Bardelby , all his right in a messuage lying upon the bank of the Ouse, in the fee of Bardelby, which the said Gilbert has by the gift of the said William and Lecia his wife. Dated at Bardelby the Monday next before the feast of St. Mark the evangelist, 19 Ed. II.

Henry, son of Alice de Stainegrive , confirms to Richard de Aplesthorp in the territory of Neuhay ("Nove Haye") one acre of land which he bought of Robert Houthendel of Seleby lying in the marsh, and also 2 other acres in the marsh of the same village, which he bought of Hugh son of Adam , paying annually 2d. (c. 1240-1250.)

Alice de Newhay, daughter of Henry de Staynegrive , sells to Richard de Happlesthorp , for a sum of money which he gave her in her great necessity, 2½ acres of land in New Hay; paying yearly one half penny. (c. 1230-1240.)

Robert Outhendel of Seleby sells to Henry, son of Alice de Stainegrive for 10s. and one "esckeppa" of corn. Witn. Martin provost of Seleby etc. one acre of land in the marsh of Neuhay ("Nova haia"). (c. 1230.)

Jordan, son of John de la Pomeraye , grants to John, son of Nicholas de Osgoteby , and his heirs, a certain assart in Osgoteby which is called 'Arenbrandridding', which the said Nicholas formerly held of Jordan's father, John; also he grants to the said John 12 pence rents, to hold of the prior and convent of Drax by the service of one rose annually, at the great altar of B. Nicholas. (c. 1270-80.)
