Indenture made 7 December, 3 Charles II (1662), that Thomas Freston of Mendham, in consideration of the receipt of £7. 3s. 3d., and an after-payment of £500, releases and confirms to Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., the tithes of the parishes of Mendham, Metfield, and Needham (Nedham) appertayning to the late dissolved monastery of Mendham.
Extract from the roll of the fifth court of Sicily Baxter, widow, of the admission of Thomas Freston to four pieces of land and one pictall in Mendham which John Hering had had. Thursday after feast of St. Faith, 12 Charles [I], 1636.

METTFIELD. Deed of sale by Robert Scarlett of Starston (Starston, Norf.), yeoman, to Thomas Freston, of Mendham, esq., of the messuage in Metfield (Mettfield) called Bees or Dukes, and the pightell or piece of land in Mendham called Spinkes pightell, etc. 7 April 3 Charles [I].
MICHELHAM. Marriage settlement between Thomas, duke of Norfolk and Henry, earl of Arundel on the proposed marriage of Thomas Howard, earl of Surrey, cousin and heir apparent of the said duke, to Mary, one of the daughters of the said earl, in which the earl undertakes to convey the manors of Michelham Parkgate (Mychelham, Parkgate), Sternfeld, Downash (Downask )and others in the county of Sussex. 6 April 1 Q. Thomas Larke of Mildenhall (Myldenhall) and Thomas ...scote grant to John Barrett, senior, a messuage and tenement situate in the West Row (West Rowe) of Mildenhall (Myldenhall), together with certain land there, part of the possessions of Edmund Myldenhale's Chantry. Robert Childreston of Mildenhall (Mildenhale), son and heir of John Childreston, deceased, grants to Agnes Fletcher of Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund), for her life, Thomas Childreston, and others, a meadow with buildings erected thereon and three roods of land in Mildenhall (Mildenhale), at West Row (Westrowe) adjoining the meadow of the chantry of master Edmund [Mildenhale]. Dated at Mildenhall (Mildenhale), 15 June, 3 Hen. VIII (1511).
Robert Chylderston of West Row (Westrow, in Mildenhale), son and heir of the late John Chylderston, grants to Nicholas Palton all the lands &c. in Mildenhall (Mildenhale) which were William Chylderston's, his grandfather, excepting a tenement and land granted to his wife Agnes for her life, before their marriage. Dated at Mildenhall (Mildenhale), 24 June, 37 Hen. VIII (1545).

Memorandum from the court roll of 14 James 1, respecting the admission of Robert Battelye and Ann his wife to the to the land in Carlton (Carleton) formerly of the priory of Bromeholme, lately held by the said Robert alone. Partly effaced.
PAKEFIELD, CARLETON COLVILE, &c. John Bery of Pakefield (Pakefeld) and Edmund Ponszere of the same place grant to Simon Fowler certain lands and tenements in Pakefield (Pakefeld), Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvile), and Gisleham (Geslyham), which they had by a deed dated 16 Feb. 30 Hen. VI. Dated at Pakefield, 20 August, 21 Ed. IV (1481).
RUMBURGH (?). Partially illegible grant to John Qwedok(?) of land in Rumburgh (Rum...). Dated at "Rumburgh (...bure ) predicti" the Monday next after the feast of the Epiphany, 36 Ed. III.
SNAPE. Indenture made 1 March, 9 Q. Anne, by which sir Henry Johnson of Friston (Friston Hall, Suffolk), knt., demises to Robert Hayward of Snape certain land in Snape for 6 years, at an annual rent of £35.
STANTON. Katherine Busshop, lately the wife of John Busshop of Stanton, deceased, grants to Edmund Man of Stanton, John Shepherd of Bridgham (Bredgeham), and John Fyce of Stanton, a messuage and land called Tabbards in exchange for one piece of land of 8 acres and one rood lying in Stanton. Dated at Stanton, 9 March, 9 Ed. IV (1469).
THORNHAM. John Abot of Hacheston (Hachetune) and Agnes his wife grant to Hubert, son of Richard Bern of Braiseworth (Brisewrd) , for his homage and service and for 15 marks of silver, three pieces of land with a messuage in Thornham Magna (Great Thornham), rendering annually one clove. (c. 1270-80.)
Richard Frere of Mendham, esq., and William Freston, citizen and grocer of London, remit and quit-claim to Thomas Wyseman, esq., all their right to rents and services issuing out of the lands, &c. of the said Thomas in Thornham Magna (Thornham) or elsewhere in the county of Suffolk. Dated 30 December, 38 Hen. VIII (1546).
WESTON. Roger de Aph... of Weston remits and quit-claims to William son of Ralph 'le Ventrer' all his right in one halfpenny rent which he was accustomed to receive at Michaelmas of William, son of Margaret Helle of Weston , from a certain piece of land in Weston. Dated at Weston the Sunday next after the feast of St. James, apostle, 2(?) Ed. III.
WETHERINGSETT ... relict of Ralph [Aspall?] of Wetheringsett, grants to William her son all her right in a piece of land in the parish of Wetheringsett (Wetheringsete), in the meadow called Colingforthe medwe. (c. 1260-70.)
