A roll, dated 1263, 2nd year of prior John of Snapes, showing that on the petition of their tenants of Snape (Snapes) and Aldeburgh (Aldeburth) the services due from them have been commuted for an annual payment, with the sums each tenant has to pay yearly placed in a line with their names (in number 54) under the heads of the old rent, and "pro ovibus, pro averagiis, pro ferminghund et gest et de garbis uncorum".
