Grant from John Benne of Kentford (Kentefordre) to John Clerke, chaplain, and Thomas West of Moulton (Multone) of a toft in Kenteforde, net the messuage of John Clerke on the east, and the meadow of William Levote on the west, abutting on the south on the highway, and on the north on the stream. Dated at Kentford (Kenteforde), on Monday [20 Oct.] after the feast of the translation of St Etheldred, 11 Henry VI [1432]. Witnesses. Grant from John ate Hale of Powick (Poywyke), to John Priour of Needham Street (Nedham, in the parish of Gayslee), Thomas de Bumstede of Norwich, Thomas le Fader, Gilbert le Walyes, Walter Cliter, and John Fyche, of all his lands, tenements, common pasturage, and freefoldage, with the mill known as 'Kenteforde Melne', in Gazeley (Gayslee), Dalham (Dallam), Cowlinge (Coulingge), Needham Street (Nedham), Kentford (Kenteforde), Kennett (Kenet), Cavenham (Cauenham), and Higham (Heyham), held by the gift of John Priour. Dated at Needham Street (Nedham) on Thursday [9 April] after Palm Sunday, 23 Ed.
