Sir John Jernegan, kt., of Somerleyton, grants to Edmund Jernegan, son of lady Mary Kyngeston two annual sums of £5 and 33s. 4d. charged upon lands in Herringfleet (Heryngflete), Somerleyton (Somerleton), Ashby, and Blundeston (Bloundiston), in pursuance of a covenant with William Kyngston, knt. and his wife Mary formerly wife of Edward Jernegan, the gather of the said John. Dated 22 June, 26 Hen. VIII (1534).

Final concord, made at Westminster, oct. of St. ⟨Mart⟩in 39 Elizabeth, between John Wentworth, esq., plaintiff, and William ...ster and Agnes his wife, Roger Shere, and others, defendants, concerning 2 messuages, 2 gardens, with land in Somerleyton (Somerleton) and Kessingland (Kessinglond), and certain other land in Ashby (Askeby).

Nicholas Wychingham grants to John atte Gene of Somerleyton (Somarleton) the manor of Ashby (Askeby) with the church lands and appurtenances for 6 years after the date of these presents, paying annually 7 marks sterling. Dated 1 October, 20 Rich. II (1396). [Partially effaced.]

Thomas Torald of Ashby (Askeby) grants to John his son one messuage and lands in Ashby (Askeby). Dated at Ashby (Askeby), 4 Dec., 3 Hen. VI (1424).

Richard Dole of Ashby (Askeby) and two others grant to Thomas Owdon of Somerleyton (Somerleton) and John Tudyngham one piece of land containing four acres more or less in Ashby (Askeby). Dated at Ashby (Askeby), 16 May, 6 Ed. IV (1466).
