THORNBURY. Confirmation by Walter [Reynolds], archbishop of Canterbury , of the appropriation of the church of Thornbury, Worcester diocese, to the abbot and monastery of B. V. M. of Theokesbury, dated 3 id. Feb. 1314, and approved by the prior and chapter of Worc. 10 Kl. Apr. 1314. Dated at Lamhuth, 5th Nones of May, 1316.

Another copy. ⟨Letters patent of Walter, bp. of Worcester , relating the many causes of the poverty of Theokesbury, and giving licence to appropriate the church of Thornbury, having due regard to the rights of the then rector, master Roger called the Marshal , and assessing the church at 26 marks a year. Transcript of lease by Ch. Ch. to William Bankes, of Hatfield Brodoke (Essex) , of the parsonage of Thornbury, which Tewksbury (dissolved 21 Nov. 27 Hen. VIII) leased to Nicholas Pycher and Robert Pycher for their lives for £27/3/4 a year, for 60 years. Rent: the same. 4 Nov. 1551.
