BARMER. Copy (made in 1326) of the appropriation of the church of Bermere to the use of the prior and convent of Cokesford by Walter, bp. of Norwich , with the consent of Simon, the prior, and convent of Norwich, and William de Lydesterne the rector. The original was dated at Weseham 6 Id. Dec., 1252, and confirmed by prior of Norwich 10 kl. Aug. 1254, and confirmation by William, bp. of Norwich , and William the prior, and convent of Norwich, 6 non. Oct. 1326.

An exemplification of a fine levied at Westminster on the morrow of the Ascension of our Lord, 38 Hen. VI, by which John Godelesforth and Anne his wife acknowledge the right of John Lyhers to a messuage, 200 acres of land, 40 acres of meadow, 60 acres of pasture, and 40 acres of marsh in Tilney, Islyngton, Wygenhale, and Walpole, with the advowson of the chapel of Walpole. Dated at Westminster, 23 January, 33 Henry VIII.

Daventry, The Mills. Peter, prior, &c.; of D⟨aventry⟩ grant to John son of Roger Miller of D⟨aventry⟩ for his service, 2 acres of arable land in D⟨aventry⟩ and Drayton viz. in the south field of D⟨aventry⟩ 3 half acres lying at le Loch by the land of Simon de aula . In the south field of Drayton a half acre over Putforlong between the monks’ land and that of William of Drayton . Rent 2d. For this grant John gave the prior; &c., an acre of arable land ‘cum divisa eidem adiacente’ in the south field of Drayton over Ryenhul by the land of John Neel , on which acre Ryenhulmylne was situated, which acre and mill Roger, father of the said John, used to hold from the monks. Witnesses: John fitz-Philip of D⟨aventry⟩ , William of Draytone of the same, Symon de aula of the same, Robert Gemme of Drayton , Robert le Werrour of the same, Geoffrey Gamel of the same. Kildewyk.. Inspeximus by William, abp. of York , of a charter of John de Lund, prior of Boulton in Craven , assigning to the church of Kyldewyk all portions touching the vicarage except tithes of corn, wool, lambs, and of the mill, dated [9] Feb. 1376 [rectius 1276], and given at Otteley. Given at York. 18 March 1321. Preston.

Carta Ceciliae de Suttone priorissae, Willelmi de Verm prioris, et conventus de Etone (Nuneaton, co. Warw.) confirmans Umfrido de Witewelle pro homagio suo messuagium et terras in villa de Atleberga, etc. in escambium messuagii in eadem villa, pro uno obolo argenti conventui, et tribus solidis argenti Capellanis ac clericis, annuatim reddendis ; cum sigillis duobus. Inspeximus by the dean and chapter of Glasgow of two deeds of inspeximus by John and by Robert bishops of Glasgow, in 1273 and 1330 and (?) of a decree by John, bp. of Glasgow , dated 8 id. July 1265, to the prior and convent of Giseburn, concerning pensions payable from the churches of Anand, Loughmaban, Cumbertre, Gretenhou, Raynpatrik, and Kirkpatrik, in Scotland. Dated at Glasgow the Sunday next after the feast of the Ascension of our Lord, 1330. .
