Indenture made 24 December, 45 Q. Elizabeth, 1602 by which Gilbert Spalding of Hawstead (Hawsted, in the county of Suffolk), sells to Thomas Cooke, tailor a messuage &c. in Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund), next Risbygate in consideration of a sum of £39 paid to the said Gilbert.

Sir Robert Jermyn of Rushbrooke (Rushbrooke, co. Suffolk), kt., grants to Edmund Corksage of Stanstead (Stansteed), taylor, a cottage or shop situate in 'le Rayngate streete' in Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund), near a sherehowse and three pieces of a farm ("pandi(?)") lying near the tenement of Alice Corksage, widow, being part of a garden called le Sentryyard. Dated 19 July, 3 James I (1605).

Indenture made 30 May, 1657, by which Edward Freeman of Wymondham (Wymondham, Norfolk), husbandman, in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds, demises to Joseph Alexander of Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund), apothecary, in Guildhall street, a messuage in Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund) for 30 years, at an annual rent of a pepper corn.

Indenture dated 28 September, 21 Charles II (1680), by which John Sothebie, esq., and others, feoffees of the town lands of Bury St Edmunds (Bury), in consideration of the sum of £15, have demised to Samuel Burrough, baker, certain small tenements for 50 years, at an annual rent of 5s.

Indenture made 13 June, 28 Charles II (1687), by which the rt. hon. James, "earle" of Suffolk, appoints John Catesby, of Clifford's Inn, gent., steward of the franchise of Bury St Edmunds (Bury St. Edmund) during pleasure.

Indenture dated ... Elizabeth by which John and William Allen sell to John Jermyn of Depden (Debden) certain lands in Glemsford. [Almost entirely effaced.]

John Talemach of Coddenham (Codenham), yeoman, remits and confirms to sir Robert Crane of Chilton, kt., certain premises in Coddenham (Codenham). Dated 20 October, 7 James I (1609).

Robert Sterne of Belton, for a sum of £50, sells to sir John Wentworth, knt., one messuage, with houses, lands, and tenements adjacent, in Belton. Dated 14 January, 6 Charles I (1631) .

William Sydnor of Blundeston grants to Alice Woulcye of Lowestoft, widow of William Wrentham for her life an annuity of 26s. 8d., issuing from his lands &c. in Blundeston. Dated 7 June, . . Elizabeth.

Institution by the archbishop of Canterbury, Whitgift (signed to him) in consequence of a vacancy in the see of Norwich, of Clement Bacon, priest, to the church of Flixton St Andrew (Flixton), on the presentation of the Crown by lapse. Dated 25 Nov. 1602.

Indenture made 25 March, 8 James I (1610), by which Clement Bacon, parson of Flixton St Andrew (Flixton), leases to John Symonds of St. Stephen's, Norwich his rectory &c. of Flixton St Andrew (Flixton) for 21 years at an annual rent of l0s.

Edward Elles of Blundeston and Umfrey Croswell of the same place quit-claim to sir John Wentworth of Somerleyton (Somerleton), knt. all their right and claim to commonage in Flixton St Andrew (Flixton Fermside) adjoining to the great common water in Blundeston. Dated 23 December, 5 Chas. I, 1629.

Indenture made 29 June, 5 Charles I (1629), by which Anthony Wilkenson of Burnham Market (Burnam Westgate, co. Norfolk), clerck, demises to Sir John Wentworth the free chapel or rectory of Flixton St Andrew (Flixton) for 40 years, at an annual rent of one peppercorn if demanded.

Indenture made 14 James I, [49 of Scotland] between William Sydnor of Blundeston (Blunston, in the county of Suffolk), esquire, and Thomas Kempe and Francis Brewater, being a grant of the manor of Fritton to William Tampon. [Mutilated and in great part effaced.]

Margaret Oldringe of Gorleston-on-Sea (Gorleston), daughter and heir of Richard Oldringe, grants to Reginald Drowrye one tenement lying in Gorleston-on-Sea (Gorleston). [c. 1600 (date entirely effaced)]

William Dunston of Bedingfield (Bedingfeild, co. Suffolk), yeoman, conveys to John Wentworth, sen., of Somerleyton, esq., a tenement &c. in Gorleston-on-Sea (Gorleston), co. Suffolk. Dated 24 Nov., 2 James I (1604).

John Carpenter of Hopton St Margaret (Hopton) sells to sir John Wentworth, kt., all his right in a tenement, with a croft adjacent, lying in Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated [day left blank] January, 7 Charles I.

Indenture made 17 Charles II, by which the 4 July, dean and chapter of Norwich demise to William Lockier of the precincts of the cathedral, notary public, their rectory, churchyard, glebe, and tithes of Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), for 21 years, at an annual rent of 53s. 4d., and certain wheat and malt.

Final concord, dated on the octave of St. Michael, 21 James I, between John Utber, gent., plaintiff, and Philip Hayward, gent., and Gislaham Wolhowse, gent., and Elizabeth his wife, defendants, concerning 80 acres of land and two acres of pasture in Lowestoft (Lowstoft), for which the plaintiff gives them £100.

Ellen Peereson of Great Yarmouth (Great Yarmuth, co. Norfolk), spinner, sells to Thomas Harman of Mutford, gent., and Hubert Cruxe the whole of a piece of land containing three roods in the village of Lowestoft (Leystoft). Dated at Lowestoft (Leystoft), 14 April, 1624.
