BASINGSTOKE. Mandate from King Charles I to John, lord Finch, keeper of the great seal, to issue letters patent containing an Inspeximus of the grant of the house of the brotherhood in Basingstoke, 3 and 4 Philip and Mary. Dated 30 May, 16 Chas. I.

Indenture made between (1) Barnard Payce of Bromley, Hampshire, yeoman, (2) Nicholas Gardner of Shirborne St John, Hampshire, yeoman, and George Herne of Basingstoke, Hampshire, and (3) Richard Gates, of Basingstoke, shoemaker; bargain and sale by (1) to (2), 45s annual rent from land in Basingstoke called the Stewes, and a messuage called Vinables alias Viables with lands and appurtenances(signed by (1) and (2)).
