Composition before the bishop of Salisbury between John Whyte, warden of Winchester College, and the fellows of the same, proprietors of the church of Downton, Sarum diocese, and Ralph Lane, vicar of Downton of the one part, and William Grrene, esq., lord of the manor of Stanlynch, of the other part, by which the manor of Stanlynch is charged for tithes of £3 6s. 8d. to Winchester College, and £1 to the vicar of Downton, the rest of the tithes being assigned to manor for the time being. Dated, Salisbury 8 October, 1549.
