Indenture dated 19 Jan., 20 Hen. VII (1505), witnesseth that the prior, Rich. Foorthy and convent of Christe Chirche of the Trinite of Gippeswiche have granted to Agnes Crane, widow, their manor called Mynyotts in Creting and Coddenham for 31 years, at an annual rent of £4 l0s.

Henry Wilbockys, John Hacon, and others demise to sir Humphrey Wingfeld, kt., and others 18 messuages and certain land in the villages of Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Cretyng St. Mary), Creeting All Saints (Cretyng All Saints), Creeting St Olave (Cretyng St. Olave), Crowfield (Crowfeld) and Gosbeck (Gosbacke). Dated 1 [March?] 25 Henry VIII (1534).

⟨Coddenham (?).⟩ John and Philip Bore quit-claim all right &c. in a certain lease of lands, &c., made 20 Dec. 19 Henry VIII by Anne Edgare in her widowhood, and before she intermarried with William Waller, esq., deceased, to William Bore, for 30 years, to Edmund Gossenold for the remainder of the term. Dated 14 Feb., 27 Hen. VIII (1536).

Indenture dated 5 Feb., 29 Hen. VIII (1538), by which sir Humphrey Wyngfeld, kt., demises to Robert Crane, esq., all the lands &c. called Mimotts of the manor of Creeting All Saints (Creting) lying in Coddenham (Codenham), for 19 years, paying annually £4 10s. Signed by Wyngfeld.

Indenture made 20 November, 38 Hen. VIII (1546), by which John Suthwell of Darsham (Darham in the co. of Suffolk), esq., sells to Robert Crane of Chilton (Chilton in the co. of Suffolk), for £392 9s. 10d., his lands, messuages, &c. in the parishes of Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Creeting St. Mary), Creeting All Saints, Creeting St Olave (Creeting St. Olave), Crowfield (Crowfeld), Gosbeck (Gosbach) and Hemingstone (Edmyngston).

Robert Crane of Chilton, esq., grants and sells to Anne Talmage a close called Bulleyarde in Coddenham (Codenham), with yearly quit-rent of 2d to him and his heirs as lord of the manor of Flude Hall with Waltham (Fladehall) in Little Stonham (Little Stoneham). Dated 20 January, 2 Elizabeth (1560).

Sir William Brooke, kt., lord Cobham, and others recite an indenture dated 14 July, 28 Elizabeth (1586), and by this present deed at the request of Robert Crane demise to him the said Robert certain lands, tenements &c. called or known by the name of Bacons, Thedwards, Cooks of Cranes' marshes, and Gybbes in the parishes of Coddenham (Codenham) &c. within the county of Suffolk. Dated 20 May, 29 Elizabeth (1587).

Augustus Campe of Woodbridge, yeoman grants to John Talemage of Coddenham (Codenham), yeoman for a a certain sum of money a piece of arable land in Coddenham (Codenham). Dated 14 October, 32 Elizabeth (1590).
