William de la Pole, marquis and earl of Suffolk and of Pembroke, grants to Adrian Spierins, clerk, in consideration of his work certain mines of gold and silver and other metals, all the "testewerke, dedewerke, afterwasshe and slagges" that come from the mines, for a term of 16 years without any payment, and also an annuity of £20 until he be preferred to a stately benefice of holy church fitting his degree. Dated 3 Feb., 26 Hen. VI (1448). [With autograph signature.]

BEESTON, co. Norfolk. Edmund Mortoft of Beston grants to John Coche of Costessey (Cossay), sir Robert Clere, kt., and others, to the use of the said John, one tenement called Corpesties and land in Beston. Dated at Beston, 8 October, 12 Hen. VII (1496). [See Norfolk, MS. Ch. Suffolk 12.]

Declaration by several clergy, the parson of Beccles (Becclys), Edmund Garneys, priest, Robert Grene, priest, Adam Fraunceys, priest, and others that certain evidence in a box under a part of their seals, relating to Robert Boys of Blundeston (Blunston) and Joan his wife, are true and credible. William Jorald of Debenham demises to John Kebyl of Caxton (Caxston), John Cachepoll, senior, and Robert Laneman of Stonham Aspal (Stonham), all those lands and tenements called 'Sowterys' lying in the villages of Pettaugh (Pethaugh), Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspall), and Crowfield (Croffeld). Dated at Stonham Aspal (Stonham Aspall) on the feast of St. Gregory, 13 Ed. IV.

Power of attorney to Robert Cook, vicar of Brandeston, from William Walle, Thomas Chaumpnays, and John Wylde chaplain of Brandeston to give seisin of two pieces of land in Brandeston to John Barnagge, jun., and John Glewman, their heirs, &c. Dated at Brandeston the Sunday next after the Epiphany, 2 Hen. VI.

John Chapman of Brandeston demises and confirms to John Wylde chaplain, William Grellyng and William Holm tenement Feverell in Brandeston with a close and field adjoining. Dated at Brandeston the Monday next before the feast of the Nativity of B. V. M., 6 Hen. VI "incipiente".

BUXLOW, FRESTON, and FARNHAM. Robert Beker of Stratford St Andrew (Stratford) remits and quit-claims to John Braham of Buxlow (Buxlowe) and his heirs all his right in certain lands, tenements, &c. in the village of Buxlow, Freston, Snape, and Farnham. Dated at Freston, 4 March, 5 Hen. IV (1404).

CARLETON COLVILE. William Horman, Robert Rypyng, and Robert Dolfyn, of Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvile), grant to John Oldryng and Agnes his wife one messuage, 34 acres of land, and 3s. annual rent in Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle). Dated there, 16 Oct., 14 Hen. VI (1435).

William Rypyng of Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), John Denyell, Thomas Whitton, Robert Thyrkeld, Thomas Craske, and Thomas Dolphyn demise and confirm to Thomas, son of John Olderyng, all those messuages, lands, &c. in Carlton (Carleton) aforesaid which they had by feoifment of the said John Olderyng. Dated at Carlton (Carleton) aforesaid, 6 June, 3 Ed. IV (1463).

Thomas Dolphyn of Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), William Rypyng, John Denyell, and Thomas Whitton, at the requisition of Thomas Olderyng of Carlton (Carleton) aforesaid, demise to John, son of the said Thomas, and Alice his wife, Alexander Olderyng, Robert Dolphyn, sen., John Craske, and John Everarde all his messuages and lands in Carlton (Carleton) aforesaid, to hold the same for the said John and Alice and their heirs after the decease of the said Thomas Olderyng and Margaret his wife. William Herman of Gisleham (Gyslam), Richard Rypyng of Mutford, and Robert Dolfyn of Carlton (Carleton) grant to John Oldryng and Agnes his wife two messuages, 34 acres of land, and 3s. of annual rent in the village of Carlton Colville (Carleton Colvyle), which they had had by the grant of the said John, for the term of their lives, with remainder to their son Thomas Oldryng and Margaret his wife.
