Weld family papers, comprising material relating to the families of Stanley, Heveningham, Simeon (Simmonds) and Weld, including some material concerning the Fitzherbert and Eyre families of Derbyshire, 1293-1809. The papers were deposited in the Bodleian Library by Colonel J.W. Weld, O.B.E., T.D., through Dorset County Record Office, in September 1959.

Included in the present catalogue are MSS. D.D. Weld b. 1, c. 1-10, and part of c. 19, papers relating to family estates in Staffordshire, Oxfordshire and Derbyshire, particularly deeds; marriage settlements and manorial records, also legal papers, wills and financial papers.

Not included are MSS. D. D. Weld a. 1 (plans of Aston Hall, Staffs., n.d.), c. 10/12 (documents relating to the Heveningham pedigree), c. 11-18 (legal papers, letters, accounts, including rentals, 1766-7, c. 14/18, and a survey of Aston, 1801, c. 18/5) and part of c. 19 (including account books, 1466-91, c. 19/4).
